A recent issue regarding how the Workshop functions with Source engine games has recently been brought to our attention. If you get an error regarding conflicting or differing files upon entering a server running Screaming Steel it is likely you already have Screaming Steel files locally, but you're not manually subscribed to the workshop items - this happens when you've joined a server running the mod in the past where the items were automatically downloaded upon joining.

This apparently causes issues whenever an update to the workshop items are pushed, as Steam will not automatically update workshop items downloaded from servers, resulting in file conflicts when trying to join a server running the updated files. If you've faced this issue, or if you know someone who does we recommend you manually subscribe to our workshop collection:

I dont see where to download Screaming Steel. Am I wrong or is nothing released yet.

Best mod ever for all time, I didn't know this was being developed until after it was released but I'm glad to have found it. The Passchendaele map is probably the best map I've ever played on, all shell craters and blasted barbed wire. Although it might never happen I really hope for a standalone version someday, because this is the best WW1 shooter out there, mod or not.

Nope.

I'd be nice if there were more guns. Maybe an M10 shotgun as the default gun for the allied assault class and the Auto 5 would be a more expensive shotgun. I also do think the Allied Assault class needs some sort of long-range weapon so maybe Model 1898 or a Model 1903.

The main focus is only the Western Front, with The British Empire against the German Empire.

WW1 Source is the HL2 mod, to play to Screaming Steel you have to wait the release

Just go to the sourcemods folder, delete the WW1 Source folder and restart steam.

Anyone know how to remove WW1 Source from steam library?
