Shotgun has been hooked on Metroidvania games and 2D platformers since the 80's. The year Metroid dropped, he almost fell out of his cradle with excitement.

Here you can read and see what he thinks about Metroidvanias and if you have similar tastes, you can use him to help you find fun games to play.


Likes:

-Strong music (I like moody, evocative, detailed, interesting pieces)
-Platforming
-Intimidating boss fights
-Secrets, Backtracking.

Dislikes:

-Lack of Map, or lack of good indicators on them.
-Lack of movement ability upgrades.
-Too much dialogue
-Too many puzzles to the point that it begins to feel like a puzzle game hybrid.
-Lack of colour (e.g. 8Doors, Gato Roboto, Trash Quest)
-Lack of area variety
