Changes and TTT

We would like to announce today that several changes and improvements are happening in Serenity Gaming. We ask that you bare with us during development and implementation of these improvements. The more support we get now, the better everything will be soon.

Trouble in Terrorist Town

As many of you know, our previous Trouble in Terrorist Town server went down. This was due to a large amount of errors created by updates and poor development back in 2012/2013. Support for this server waned due to such errors and caused us to take the server down.

As of November 21, 2014, we are beginning development of a new and far superior TTT server. This server is being built from the ground up to allow us to have a server completely free of the previous errors and make development of future updates significantly easier.

With with this TTT server, we do ask that if any errors are encountered, please post a report of the errors on our website, www.serenitygaming.co. Any information that can be provided with the report (pictures, bug details, file paths, video, or anything else) will help speed up bug fixing times. We also ask that people help support the community with donations. The more donations we get, the more stuff we can do for the community, including more servers when possible. We do have only a handful of developers, so any amount of help making the developers' jobs easier is greatly appreciated.

The developers will be releasing bits of information of the changes and status of the TTT server on the forums over the next few days. The first things to note about the server is that we have lowered the player count of the server to 25 to save money because we were not peaking at 32. If we begin maxing out at 25 regularly, we will upgrade back up to 32.

There is no expected ETA for the release of the TTT server. We are however already working hard on getting it set up. If you had donator ranks, you will be given back your ranks, skins, and pointshop points once the system is fully operational. If you did not have a donator rank, we will either try to get you back your points or possibly give you a small 1 week increase of credits as compensation.

We here at Serenity Gaming apologize for the down time. This was not intentional, but it does provide us with a unique opportunity to make a product far superior than we have ever made before. Please bare with us during this transition.

Deathrun

With the Deathrun server finishing development, we have seen an influx of players who have enjoyed the server very much. As we move into a full release, we do need help from the community to report bugs and suggest custom content that you want to see. To date, we have been suffering from a disconnect between development and community because this aspect has not been handled by any community members. If you want to know how you can help, please message Ghost or Lacie, or head to www.serenitygaming.co and become active on the forums. Many of us have jobs and very limited time, so every bit of help from the community helps us greatly.

Some bugs in the Deathrun, such as DeadRadio, were made by third party developers that discontinued their work. Our developers are slowly working on fixing such bugs, but it is a very slow process. The DeadRadio in particular may come back in the future, but nothing is certain yet.

Staff

Many members of the staff have chosen to discontinue their position to focus on other games such as Counter Strike: Global offensive. This is fine for them, and we may even make a small clan in CS:GO. The staff that are sticking around however, we are going to be needing you to step up and help the community out. If you're unsure of what to do, please contact Ghost, Drakonic, or Lacie for guidance. We are here to help you. The staff that step up to this responsibility will be rewarded, and there will be much more room for promotions in the near future.

This community isn't just a place for people to play. Serenity Gaming is a child to us all. It is an entity that has grown and been formed by each and every person that has joined it. Serenity Gaming DayZ Epoch!!!!

Last night, Drakonic and I (Ghost) did an all nighter to get up our brand new DayZ Epoch server. It isn't finished, but it is very much playable and fun as hell. The IP is 64.31.13.68:2402 and is also located in the DayZ channels on Teamspeak.

I'm looking for weapon ideas and need the communities help! Recently it's gotten dull with everything and with the GMod 14 update recently there is so much more that can be done now scripting wise. So far, off of live testing I can turn any weapon into an exploding death dealer or even make a portal gun thanks to the new hooks in GMod.
