Rules for the final

Congratulations to the teams who reached the finals.

Let me now introduce the different rules for the finals.

Match of the final bracket (winner and loser bracket) will be Best of Five map.
The first team to win 3 maps will win the match

We believe the best scavenge players must be good on every single map to deserve to win

That's why map are announced just now!

The maps will be the following: Dead Center : Atrium /// The Passing : Port /// Dark Carnival : Motel /// Hard Rain : Sugar Mill and of course No Mercy : Rooftop

The order will be announced right after you give me the time and date of your match

Rules during the match are basicly the same, if you got some questions send me a private message on Steam.

Lower Bracket deadline

Since the teams from the lower bracket are late and take one week to schedule and play a single match I'll put a deadline from now on. Delays, outages and failure to do so will result in a disqualification of the inactive team.

Your replacements are here for a reason, so use them if some of your main players can't play.

The finale of the lower bracket must be reached before the 18th March.

Also, if you win your match, I want you to contact the captain of the opposite team of your next match just after your win. I am tired to do the police and ask every day if you did it.

Please note, if there is any scheduling issues such as your captain not being able to contact the opposite team, let me know as we will at least know which team was available to schedule and which team was not so we can disqualify the proper team.

Streaming Live

We are happy to announce that most of the remaining matches will be streamed by two well known shoutcasters and very knowledgeable players: Icy Inferno and ProdigySim.

We decided to contact them regarding shoutcasting as they know their way around the scavenge mode better than any other people such a L4D2TV (which is more focused on the versus mode). Their streaming quality is impeccable and we want to make sure we have a high quality stream in order to satisfy the spectators.

However, there is still a small problem as the tournament is hosted in Europe and the shoutcasters are located on the West Coast and on the Middle of the United States. They probably won’t be able to stream all matches because of the difference in time zones but we will try our best to synchronize everything. This is why we suggest you schedule your matches at a reasonable time and not at the same time as another team’s match if you would like the opportunity to have your match streamed.

The rosters will once again be locked tomorrow at 5:00pm CET. Please note that this will be your last chance to do any roster modifications.

Friendly reminder

We would just like to remind you that ALL matches for round 1 must be scheduled by Friday, February 10, 2012. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification of the innactive team.

We have 2 teams on "stand-by" that are willing to participate in the tournament so if teams aren't able to schedule by then we might try and squeeze the other teams in to make sure everyone gets to play round 1.

Please take note that once both teams agreed on the time of the match, they must report the date and time of the official match to myself through Private Message.

So far, 4/8 matches have been scheduled.

As quite a few people have been requesting this and seem to be quite a bit impatient, we will round it up and make it as simple as possible.

You have one week to play your first round match.
All first round matches must be played by February 12, 2012.
Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.
If there are any issues with the scheduling, you can contact myself via Private Message.
Any questions can be fowarded to myself via Private Message as well.

Once both teams agree on a specific time for the match; you will need to let myself know of the date and time chosen.

Please remember that you cannot start an official match without an admin being notified.

Don't forget to screenshot the results and record demos.

As most of you already know, the registrations have ended as we begin the month of February and we couldn't be more excited to bring you this scavenge tournament.

We really appreciate the community's feedback and as a result, we linked teams to an online poll that had players vote between the following:

scavogl OR vanilla
single elimination OR double elimination
rooftop as first map OR random maps

The poll had been up for a few days and it seems a few people tried to bypass the voting system that had it so that you could only submit your vote once per IP address. We had a few votes that all came in one second after the other from the same IP address which is why we decided not to bother with this poll.

Instead, we decided to keep the configuration as vanilla and keep rooftop as the first map of every best of 3 matches however, we will be taking votes from TEAM CAPTAINS regarding the single elimination OR double elimination poll.

We will ask every team captain to consult their team regarding this and submit a single vote per team in this thread within 24 hours as we are currently working on the tournament's bracket and plan on having an opening match this weekend if everything goes smoothly.
