Since battle races are tend to finish after a 1~2 minutes, I would'nt give it more than extra hour. of course that things might be different.

Hello, and welcome to the biggest tourney ever hit the community - Icy's and RayZ's Lucky Dip Tournament!

When we said "the biggest one", we meant it literally: that tourney is going to be the longest one ever made, using fresh ideas, fresh and updated rules (along with the traditional Epona's rules).
That tourney will held prizes as well, and this time, not only the Top 3 will benefit from it, but any other player.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, at January 28th 2017, 7PM UK Timezone.
Check the date in here to see the correct start time and date as for your timezone.

That tournament is longest than usual, thus expected to last around 3 hours (estimated time). Please note that any more rounds would extend it by quite a bit.


Our new tournament will be based on 3 rounds:

• Round 1: Qualifications #1 - Battle Races - Auto qualifications to the next round (10 Tracks)
  
• Round 2: Qualifications #2 - Normal Races (10 Tracks)
  
• Round 3: Finals - Boost Races (10 Tracks)

You will be starting the tourney having fun with a game mode that plays rarely, and automaticlly will be qualified to the next round, where your boost & shoot skills will be tested in order to get into round 3 - the finals, where your pure boost skills will determine your final position on the tourney.

It doesn't end here: once during round 2 and 3, randomally, you will be playing a new game mode, the "Sudden Death" race, which will be a shooting based. what is Sudden Death?
At those runs of the tourney, finishing the 1st alone won't do - you'll have to finish the race under a certain time - or you get no points at this run at all.

You gonna have to fire your weapons in order to stop the others to outrun you, but also to stop the others from preventing you to complete that challenge.
The track will be completely random, and can also be a mirrored or one that already been played - so be ready for that!

The last trick will be the tracklist - this time, fitting the lucky dip idea, the tracklist will be completely random, and may contain a mirrored tracks. however, except for the Sudden Death runs, no tracks will be reused during round 2 and 3.

Qualifications for the Finals

• 2 Lobbies = Top 5 from both lobbies
  
• 3 Lobbies = Top 3 from both lobbies. The 10th spot will be decided by points and a tiebreaker will determine the last qualifier if needed.
  
• Any possible tie will be determined by a tie-breaker run.
  
• Players will be associated to a lobby based on their amount of the time played into the game.

Prizes will be given for all kind of "achievements". for your attention, some of the rewards will have to be given a few days later, based on consultation and footages taken from the tourney. all the achievements belows grants a random Steam game for the players. in case of getting two achievements, the player will get an extra game. in case of getting more than 2 achievements, the player won't get any more prizes.

• The Winner Reward - The person who wins the tournament
  
• So Close Reward - The 2nd place
  
• Consolation Reward - The 10th place
  
• Fastest Reward - The two (or one) person/s with the lowest time on "Sudden Death" runs
  
• Lightspeed Reward - The player who holds the fastest times out of all runs
  
• The Great Fighter Reward - The one who scores the highest points on round 1 (out of all lobbies)

Last minute sign-up won't be allowed in case that no room left. you are able to register yourself any time until 24 hours before the tourney starts. that rule was made in order to avoid unnecessary extra lobby. in case you're not sure if you can show up for the tournament, register yourself as "maybe", this way you will guarantee yourself a room on the tourney.

Please note that, in my experience, the tournament can be difficult and slow to start up, as many people (since we come from all over) live in different timezones and many not show up quite on time - I ask that all participants try their best to be patient and understanding as we begin to set up the tournament, and do your best to show up 15-30 minutes ahead of time to expedite the process. But once we get going, it should go quite smoothly.

The host of the lobby will start the next race as soon as everyone has picked a character, or else the maximum waiting time is 5 mins. If for some reason you are not ready, please leave your character on random and/or mention it in the group chat. These 5 minutes will also be used in case someone disconnected to give them time to rejoin the lobby. in any case, when everyone states that they are ready to start ("r" \ "ready"), the race will start without any delay.

Hosts of the lobbies have the responsibility to take screenshots of the results after every race, in case some will get disconnected mid-race.

In case when someone get disconnected mid-race or has to go, they will be awarded the points earned by their respective bot. lost past score later will be recalculated with the current points and the player's bot results, using the screenshots. however, if 5 or more players experience a network error / crash (or if the lobby players agrees by consensus), the race can be restarted (even if already completed - in this case, the points of previous race will be disregarded, and only points from re-race will count).

Be ready to deal with an aggressive S-Class A.I. they are way more stronger than their offline quivalent, using fast acceleration and free boosts in order to catch up with the skilled players. their scores do not count but their driving/items will SURELY affect the outcome of the races!

Steam chat will be used to communicate. If you're not available in Steam the host will assume you're not present. If you're not in the Steam group chat, for whatever reason, the host will assume you're not ready if your character is on random. but if you already picked a character, the race will start after 5 minutes, maximum.

If enough hosts are willing to, there will be a room for those who did not advance to finals. That is so that everyone can be ranked in the tournament, or else only the finalists will be.

Be polite to others - nothing more, nothing less. things such as bumps, lag bumps, glitches and yes, falling cakes can happen which can dictate the outcome of the race. Incidents like these are difficult to avoid, so please be prepared for this. We are on this event for nothing less than having fun. thus, any hate behaviour against any other character\s or any other Inappropriate behaviour WILL NOT be tolerated, and could question your continuation on the tourney.

Those in charge of the tournament are allowed to disqualify a player signup in case that their pressence could bug the others, or being problematic in their eyes - by fair reasons.

Additionally, I know how frustrating and furious it is to fail a race, by any circumstance. but take a deep breath, remember that it's just a game (and sport!) and keep the tourney's chat clean. nobody likes to see others whining, and ANYBODY, regardless to their skill, can fail a race in a drastic way.

We are trying to avoid any drama. any fights between people or groups of people will be held properlly: both must be in seperate lobbies, and if both make it to the finals, one must NOT mention the other in ANY way. failure to do so will result in that person or group being disqualified from the tournament. No warnings will be given.
