1) All 20 normal tracks will be played in completely random order this time around. first round will be 10 tracks, finals will be 10 tracks.

2) Qualifications for finals:

2 lobbies = top 5.
3 lobbies = top 3, the 10th spot will be decided by points and a tiebreaker will determine the last qualifier if needed.
4 lobbies = top 2, last 2 spot will be decided the same way as in 3 lobbies.
5 lobbies = top 2.

The reasoning behind this is this tournament lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes on average, anymore rounds would extend it immensely.

3) Host will start the next race as soon as everyone in the lobby picked a character or else the maximum waiting time is 5 mins, if for some reason you are not ready, please leave your character on random and/or mention it in the Steam chat.

These 5 minutes will also be used in case someone disconnected to give them time to rejoin the lobby.

4) Hosts have the responsibility to take screenshots after every race so that if someone disconnects/network error/crashes/has to go, they keep their points :) BUT other participants can help too, in case the host misses a screenshot, it happens.

5) Sign up deadline is TWO hours before the tournament, if you sign up after that, you are NOT guaranteed a spot unless someone doesn't show up.

6) In case there are several lobbies, be ready to deal with S-class A.I, their scores do not count but their driving/items will SURELY affect the outcome of the races.

7) Steam chat will be used to communicate, if you're not in the Steam for whatever reason, the host will assume you're not ready if your character is on Random, but if you already picked a character, the race will start after 5 minutes

8) If enough hosts are willing to, there will be rooms beside finals one so that everyone can be ranked in the tournament, or else only the finalists will be.

It is true that up until now I focused on the fact that everyone should be able to participate in the tournaments in a equal way and made the rooms in a way that the finals can be interesting.

You guys (or I, when I start organizing tournaments again in August ) could base yourself on past tournament results to sort players in lobbies.

That sounds good to me, with some sort of promotion to platinum class for top 3 players and demotion to gold class for bottom 3 players.

1) All 20 normal tracks will be played in order, from Ocean View to Egg Hangar, however since there are 2 lobbies, the semi-final will be Ocean View to Chilly Castle, and the final round, which will be the the top 5 players of both rooms, will be from Graffiti City to Egg Hangar

2) Host will start the next race as soon as everyone in the lobby picked a character or else the maximum waiting time is 5 mins, if for some reason you are not ready, please leave your character on random and/or mention it in the Steam chat.

These 5 minutes will also be used in case someone disconnected to give them time to rejoin the lobby.

3) Hosts have the responsibility to take screenshots after every race so that if someone disconnects/network error/crashes/has to go, they keep their points :) BUT other participants can help too, in case the host misses a screenshot, it happens.

4) Sign up deadline is TWO hours before the tournament, if you sign up after that, you are NOT guaranteed a spot unless someone doesn't show up.

5) In case there are several lobbies, be ready to deal with S-class A.I, their scores do not count but their driving/items will SURELY affect the outcome of the races.

for the first time I might have to close the sign-ups early because I don't know yet how to handle 3 lobbies time-wise or how to organize the finals out of them without taking more than 2 hours

Aside from ACID MAN that signed up right when I was editing the post, anyone that signs up from now on, isn't guaranteed a spot unless there are people that don't show up (which is likely)

8) No slot machine allowed during Boost Races, if you're lucky and get Titanium frame or some of the defensive stuff luck to you, but if a firework/blowfish/hotrod/ice gets caught on video/stream, the person responsible gets 0 points for that race.
