yeah the event time is off for me by 2h, same for mine n dorys tourney event

I see the scenario nurse mentioned as a normal thing for team based races, pretty much the point of being a team imo, work together to undermine other players.

In the end I will be happy with whatever you come up with rules wise.

Barbon & Hunky Dory's Almost Christmas Tournament

Welcome to Barbon and Hunky Dory's christmas tournament. I'll be using Epona's rules to cover most (if not all) of this event.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, December 17th at 7PM UK Time (the same time as previous tournaments - check the event post Here to see the start time for your own timezone - if enough people can agree on a different time that works best for all/most, feel free to suggest and we may change it.

***Steam event time's may be acting weirdly for some people lately, not sure why, so as added resource you can visit this web site: http://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/ and get a correct time conversion to confirm the start time for you - just set the right-column city to "London" (or simply "GMT") and the time above to "7:00 PM" and it should display your equivalent local time in the left column. Sorry for any confusion.

Rules/Information

Ths will be a mixed mode tournament, the qualification stage will be boost race and the final stage will be random character normal race.
- Qualification stage will be 10 races
- Final stage will be 10 races
- A bonus track will be used if results are tied between 2 or more players.
Qualification for the Finals
- 2 Lobbies = Top 5
- 3 Lobbies = Top 3, 10th place will be decided by points or a tiebreaker
The host of the lobby will start the next race as soon as everyone has picked a character or else the maximum waiting time is 5 mins. If for some reason you are not ready, please leave your character on random and/or mention it in the group chat. These 5 minutes will also be used in case someone disconnected to give them time to rejoin the lobby.
Hosts of the lobbies have the responsibility to take screenshots of the results after every race.
- This is so that if someone disconnects/network error/crashes or has to go, they keep their points. BUT other participants can help too, as sometimes the host misses a screenshot.
- In the event that a person or persons crash during the course of the race, they will be awarded the points earned by their respective bot. HOWEVER, if 5 or more players experience a network error/crash (or if the lobby agrees by consensus), the race can be restarted (even if already completed - in this case, the points of previous race will be disregarded, and only points from re-race will count).
Sign up deadline is TWO (2) hours before the tournament begins.
- If you sign up after that, you are NOT guaranteed a spot unless someone doesn't show up.
Be ready to deal with S-Class A.I.
- Their scores do not count but their driving/items will SURELY affect the outcome of the races!
Steam chat will be used to communicate.
If enough hosts are willing to, there will be a room for those who did not advance to finals. That is so that everyone can be ranked in the tournament, or else only the finalists will be.
The bonus slot machine is allowed, however for the boost race portion of the tournament you cannot attack other players.
Understand going into this tournament that, many times, bullshit things happen (lag bumps, other weird bugs, apocolypses, etc.) and that is unfortunately just part of the game. If you express your frustration in a reasonable way, that is fine, but please - do your best to remain civil and sportsman-like, as it will help the tournament be more fun for all participating.
