I'm going to agree with Ace, Gummy/TwicH - yes, we state in all our tournaments that "anyone is free to join", but there is something to be said about host's discretion, and based on the comments you've left here, I can understand why your name was removed from this list - harrassment and obscene language is not the way to be a part of this community. Please apologize, and just act kindly and we can stop all of this drama and hatred; but continue down this path of behavior, and actions may have to be taken, and I don't want that (as I'm sure you don't either). Bring back the Gummy/TwicH that I used to know, who was kind and friendly :)

Yeah Tom, as far as I know, you're next in line to host one, so any time after d3's on 10/29 should work I think :) we have plenty of time to work out exact date/details. Welcome to Killua Zoldyck's 1ST RANDOM CHARACTER tournament, using Epona's rules.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, October 15th at 7PM UK Time (GMT +1:00) (the same time as most previous tournaments - check the event post here to see the start time for your own timezone - if enough people can agree on a different time that works best for all/most, feel free to suggest and we may change it! :D). Anyone is free to join.

1. All 21 (including Outrun Bay) normal tracks will be played in completely random order [game mode will be NORMAL RACE, but with RANDOM CHARACTERS].
- First round will be 10 tracks.
- Finals will be 10 tracks.
- A bonus track will be chosen if a tie results (or if people just want to do 1 more race).

2. Qualifications for the Finals
- 2 Lobbies = Top 5.
- 3 Lobbies = Top 3. The 10th spot will be decided by points, or a tiebreaker will determine the last qualifier if needed.
- Tournaments generally last around 2 hours and 30 minutes on average. Please note that any more rounds would extend it by quite a bit.
***Please note that, in my experience, the tournament can be difficult and slow to start up, as many people (since we come from all over) live in different timezones and may not show up quite on time - I ask that all participants try their best to be patient and understanding as we begin to set up the tournament, and do your best to show up 15-30 minutes ahead of time to expedite the process. But once we get going, it should go quite smoothly.

3. The host of the lobby will start the next race as soon as everyone has had the opportunity to say "ready" or "not ready" in Steam group chat. Due to the nature of this tournament mode, it is very important that you be in Steam group chat with the other racers in the tournament/your lobby, since being displayed as "random character" is not a way to know if someone is AFK for this. If you do not speak in chat within 5 minutes of the previous race ending, the host is allowed to start the race without you having said you are ready.
These 5 minutes will also be used in case someone has disconnected to give them time to rejoin the lobby.

4. Hosts of the lobbies have the responsibility to take screenshots of the results after every race.
- This is so that if someone disconnects/network error/crashes/has to go, they keep their points. BUT other participants can help too, as sometimes the host misses a screenshot.
* In the event that a person or persons crash during the course of the race, they will be awarded the points earned by their respective bot. HOWEVER, if 5 or more players experience a network error/crash (or if the lobby agrees by consensus), the race can be restarted (even if already completed - in this case, the points of the previous race will be disregarded, and only points from re-race will count).

5. Sign up deadline is TWO (2) hours before the tournament begins.
* If you sign up after that, you are NOT guaranteed a spot unless someone doesn't show up.

6. Be ready to deal with S-class A.I
* Their scores do not count but their driving/items will SURELY affect the outcome of the races!

7. Steam chat will be used to communicate.
- If you're not in the Steam group chat for whatever reason, the host will assume you're not ready if your character is on Random, but if you already picked a character, the race will start after 5 minutes. The striked statement does not apply to this tournament, due to the "random character" aspect, so it is CRUCIAL that you be in the Steam group chat, preferably with both the SARTT group and with your personal racing group).

8. If enough hosts are willing to, there will be rooms beside finals one (brackets).
This is so that everyone can be ranked in the tournament. Or else only the finalists will be. [ty for idea Epona and for posting NoVa :)]

Added notes:
Understand going into this tournament that, many times, bullshit things happen (lag bumps, other weird bugs, apocolypses, etc.) and that is unfortunately just part of the game. If you express your frustration in a reasonable way, that is fine, but please - do your best to remain civil and sportsman-like, as it will help the tournament be more fun for all participating :D

Just wanted to give an update on what I think is happening currently with the tournament schedule:
Nightcat is hosting on September 24 (normal race mode);
Icy is hosting on October 1 (boost race with some mirror tracks);
d3 on October 29 (Halloween-themed boost race mode);
and Killua on October 15 (normal race mode with random characters).
