Shoval's Tournament #8 - Saturday, December 12th
Intro
Hello! I've decided to organize my eighth tournament! I'll be having a holiday on the 13th Sunday, so I will have no problem with staying until as late as I am needed to in the tournament.

The tournament will be a Normal Race Events tournament.

Notes & Rules

1. As I said, this will be a Normal Race Events tournament.
No other events but Normal Race events. Twenty tracks will be played, ten tracks for each round. In each round, two tracks will be mirrored tracks. The list of tracks is shown below.

2. Any player may join. For having two lobbies in qualification round I need at least 12 participants signed. The max of players that can sign up is 20 for this tournament. But, always need replacers! So feel free to sign up even if there is a total of 20 players signed.

3. The tournament will be taking place on Saturday 12th of December - 10:00PM UTC/GMT +3/IDT, or to make it simpler, check the event's page in the group to see it in your timezone.

4. If you get a network error you will get the points that your bot got. In case five or more players get network error the event will be restarted.

5. Whoever has IceBlade's tool has to have it set to 10, if you don't have it then there is nothing you need to do.

6. I know I don't need to mention that but, I will. No hacks allowed in this tournament. If a player is caught hacking he won't keep participating in my tournament. However, for making sure the player is hacking I need evidence which can be a screenshot\ video or anything that can confirm that the player is a hacker. I will decide if the evidence is enough or not.

7. Each lobby's host has to take a screenshot of each event's results.

8. Using the x3 Blowfishes on Sunshine Tour for blocking other participants is not allowed. Participating in the tournament means participating in all its' events as well.

9. Breaking the rules rule: If a player caught breaking one of the rules the player will not participate in the tournament that will come next to this one. The max times a player can break the rules is two, other than that will cause a ban from this group.

An Idea For a Tournament - 1 VS 1 Tournament

gamemode. would this be a standard race or boost race? if this is a standard race then the host may have a advantage thanks to bump resistance and no weapon input lag. this isn't so much a problem in a 10 matchup, but 1v1 would be very difficult.

Normal Race events, this isn't that big advantage, if the player should win he will win with or without being the host.

would players be up against bots or would we be using iceblades AI count tool.

In my personal opinion, using IceBlade's AL count tool is the best use for this tournament, although, I can't tell everyone to download that tool and set it as 2 for the tournament, it's something I can't do, also, using IceBlade's tool may cause problems, it takes one player to re-match an a event which can cause a general delay. But if I will decide to actually host one, I will mention as a recommendation.

network errors, why are they only valid for the first two laps? what if someone nets just as they go over the finish line? I think it's safe to assume that pretty much everyone in this group wouldn't RQ just because they may lose, but a net resulting in a lose is a huge middle finger.

This certain rule will have changes, but for now, it's valid for laps 1-2 because if a player sees he's going to lose on that event he might make himself a network error on purpose to have a re-match, but in laps 1-2 the players are still not able to know if they're going to win or lose. But in any case, the best solution for network errors on 1vs1 matches should be an auto lose, because otherwise events could be re-matched all the time. But don't forget this isn't scheduled! So in any case I will host one, the rules are sure going to be fair enough.
Hello, I've been thinking of making a special tournament for a while, and the idea of making a 1 vs 1 tournament came to my mind, I'm not sure it's a good one actually, because, people perhaps prefer to play in full lobbies than playing against one single player, but in any case, let me know what you think of this idea down below. I'll mention the rules as if this tournament was actually scheduled.

Rules

1. Tracks & Events - In each match of 1 vs 1, 3-5 normal Race events will be played. The winner award will be the first one to go 3 wins. All the matches from the same wave will have the same tracks. An example for a tracks list is shown below.

2. Network Errors - Since 1 player is half of the population of the match, the event that the player gets a network error will be re-matched, but only if the player gets a network error on laps 1-2, on lap three the player that didn't get the network error will be the winner of the certain event. Getting network errors is up to 2 times on the same event, the third one will cause an auto lose.

3. Lobbies & Hosts:

Wave 1 - 8 lobbies and 8 hosts.
Wave 2 - 4 lobbies and 4 hosts
Finals - 1 lobby and 1 host.

4. Participants: The max of the participants for a 1vs1 tournament is 16. See flow chart of the tournament[i.imgur.com]

5. An example for a tracks list:

Wave 1:

1. Samba Studios
2. Sunshine Tour
3. Sanctuary Falls
4. Carrier Zone
5. Race of AGES

Wave 2:

1. Egg Hanger
2. Dream Valley
3. Ocean View
4. Temple Trouble
5. Rogue's Landing

Finals:

1. Seasonal Shrines
2. Galactic Parade
3. Chilly Castle
4. Adder's Lair
5. Dragon Canyon

Please write below your thoughts about having a 1 vs 1 tournament.
Thank you!
