Welcome to my second tournament. [rules/text copied and modified from Garf's 2nd Boost Tourney, which was based on Epona's rules] xD ;)

The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 1st at 7PM UK Time(the same time as previous tournaments).


1. - All 21 tracks will be played in random order.
- Round 1 will be 8 tracks.
- Round 2/Finals will be 13 tracks.
- Game modes will be as follows:
Round 1 - 5 Boost Races(See Rule 9), 3 Normal Races(See Rule 10)
Round 2 - 7 Boost Races(See Rule 9), 3 Normal Races(See Rule 10), 3 No Attacking Normal Races(see Rule 11)

- A bonus track will be chosen if a tie results.

2. Qualifications for the Finals
- 2 Lobbies = Top 5.
- 3 Lobbies = Top 3. The 10th spot will be decided by points, or a tiebreaker will determine the last qualifier if needed.

3. The host of the lobby will start the next race as soon as everyone has picked a character or else the maximum waiting time is 5 mins. If for some reason you are not ready, please leave your character on random and/or mention it in the group chat.
These 5 minutes will also be used in case someone disconnected to give them time to rejoin the lobby.

4. Hosts of the lobbies have the responsibility to take screenshots of the results after every race.
- This is so that if someone disconnects/network error/crashes or has to go, they keep their points. BUT other participants can help too, as sometimes the host misses a screenshot.
* In the event that a person or persons crash during the course of the race, they will be awarded the points earned by their respective bot. HOWEVER, if 5 or more players experience a network error/crash (or if the lobby agrees by consensus), the race can be restarted (even if already completed - in this case, the points of previous race will be disregarded, and only points from re-race will count).

5. Sign up deadline is TWO (2) hours before the tournament begins.
* If you sign up after that, you are NOT guaranteed a spot unless someone doesn't show up.

6. Be ready to deal with S-class A.I
* Their scores do not count but their driving/items will SURELY affect the outcome of the races!

7. Steam chat will be used to communicate.
- If you're not in the Steam group chat for whatever reason, the host will assume you're not ready if your character is on Random, but if you already picked a character, the race will start after 5 minutes.

8. If enough hosts are willing to, there will be rooms beside finals one (brackets).

9. The roulette is allowed to be used for Boost Races, however no attacking please. If you get a glove or boost item feel free to use it. If you get ice, blowfish, etc, do not shoot it at other players. If you are safe to do so you can discard it, or use it to break a barrier or such.

10. For Normal Races all items are allowed. Attack at will.

11. This will be something new, for tournaments anyway, and it relies heavily on the honour system. It's the same as many of us already play in MM. We will play a normal race with item pickups. You can use items all you want as long as you are not doing so to shoot at others. You can use an all-star if you get it, but don't use the item to attack. Understand that sometimes fireworks or blowfish can bounce awkwardly when discarding so please be careful when you are getting rid of something. Hopefully nobody will get hit accidentally, but of course things happen so please just try your best. Sometimes You may get stuck with an item you can't discard, such as a swarm, unfortunately that is what it is. this mode is supposed to be based mostly on racing, so rely on your skill in that area firstmost.
*This mode will only be in the Finals. It's understood that if you make it to the Finals you will abide by these rules. Anyone caught attacking on purpose will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.

12. No pushing/colliding intentionally please. Your vehicle is not to be used as a weapon. Be civil and respectful of all other drivers on the road, in the air, or in the water please. xD Of course bumps may happen, just don't do it on purpose.


Added Notes

- Tournaments generally last around 2 hours and 30 minutes on average.
***Please note that, in my experience, the tournament can be difficult and slow to start up, as many people (since we come from all over) live in different timezones and may not show up quite on time - I ask that all participants try their best to be patient and understanding as we begin to set up the tournament, and do your best to show up 15-30 minutes ahead of time to expediate the process. But once we get going, it should go quite smoothly.

Understand going into this tournament that, many times, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things happen (lag bumps, other weird bugs, apocolypses, etc.) and that is unfortunately just part of the game. If you express your frustration in a reasonable way, that is fine, but please - do your best to remain civil and sportsman-like, as it will help the tournament be more fun for all participating :D

*I reserve the right to deny certain players who have known to be troublesome in the past entry into the tournament.
*If you signed up please show up(or talk to me to let me know you may not make it).
*If you show up, please don't leave mid way through a Round. If you leave early you may be denied entry into any future tournaments I may hold.(unless there is a good reason for it. Ragequitting because of bumps or lag or because you are losing is not a good reason. :P)
