Yes the Pulse series comes stock with the zero fan at low temp/usage enabled. I wooould not imagine that a PCIe 3 would cause much of an issue. I actually have a 6800 that is running PCI 3 due to am extender cable and the performance is not impacted.

Okay so lighting on the Pulse cards is a no. There is not light, some did have a red light but even if it does it is not controllable.

The 90C hot spot is warm but within tolerances, the chips can handle up too 110C hot spots without issue. What kind of case are you using, some case layouts actually can cause the hot spot to increase, these are usually vertical or hanging card designs.

Unless you have been directed by support to update your GPU BIOS do not do it. Those types of updates are usually targeted to fix a very specific issue. If your not having an issue leave it as is, never fix what isn't broke. \

As for the onboard graphics, the motherboard will sometimes allow the onboard to stay enabled. The discrete GPU will always be better for performance. I usually leave the onboard on however if I have the option to use quickly if I need to trouble shoot an issue.

With the new 6600XT cards oout there is a bit of focus going back to 1080P for gaming. According to the Steam Survey over 82% of gamers are still gaming at 1080P or less for their resolution.

I have been playing it since the Epic launch and am actually enjoying it a lot. I play the sandbox career mode because I like building my merc unit the way I want it and not being forced in a direction by story line.

I'm an older guy here who is reluctant to change, but I've never found the need to go above 1080p 120hz. I play on dual 22" monitors and it does the trick for me. No reason to spend a fortune on things I don't need.

I am there with you, I am actually making the move from 1440P back too 1080P. As you get older the eye sight becomes a little less perfect. For none games I spend all my time zoomed in, browser at 150% and that is on a 32"" 1440 display.

Recently spent a couple of days on a friends 1080P 32"" display and it was easier to read without the need for zooming, which throws off some page formatting. As for gaming, could not tell enough difference to care beyond the fact the frame rates where higher and smoother with more detail turn on.
