Hey guys Rustify servers is now back up and running. We have a fresh wipe server as of 4/12. We are a few admins short this time up. But Server is back up with semi-Active admins (as Real Life) does come up now an again. So jump on now at " net.connect 108.61.147.138:28075 " :D

Bans and You.!

Hey guys we have had some concerns about our banning policy so I figured I would clear it up for you guys! :D

Hey, why did I get banned? :'(

Well you see you have gotten caught simple as that, one of the admins/mods visually watched you hack whether its speed hacking or flying to mass killing or aim botting we saw you and we followed our protocol now you may be asking protocol what is that? Well my good sir (or madam) Keep reading! There’s a few ways we have seen you hacking, we have gotten more than half the server to complain about you in the chat screaming bloody murder for your head and that you were hacking. We got a Captured video of you in the act or we saw you. We are not perfect we are not robots we do make mistakes we sometimes ban the wrong people why because the Admin tool we use is a little glitchy. (Look at the unbanning Section of this post)

Okay well there is nothing I can do the only way to be unbanned is by a majority vote of the admins. (More info below). There are a few other reasons you were banned. You spammed racial profanity to a point where it became a banable offense or you disrespected an admin/mod after being told to watch the language.(This will normally result in a kick which will be your last warning before being banned). You were caught advertising we have a 0 tolerance policy for the advertising of other servers. When it comes to Twitch Streams we ask that you do not spam it please. As we love the attention from the stream on our server when it becomes a problem in chat by spamming it becomes a problem for us. We ask that when streaming you link it once or twice with 10 min intervals in between each message. Any other advertising (YouTube channels music download links etc.) will be treated like the racial profanity section located above. (1 warning a kick and then ban).

When you get banned and the unbanning process

When you are banned depending on the offense you will be unbanned after a wipe normally 2 weeks. If you caught Spamming another server that is also a perma ban from our server, Just because you server is shit and you can’t get players doesn’t mean you can come to ours and broadcast to take our players. If you are caught with a major offense such as hacking your are perma banned sorry o well fuck u :p.

Admin Protocol

To prevent ourselves from insta banning someone, because they were claimed 1337 HAxOrs. We take the time to go into a no name state and go invisible and watch you (Yes that’s right when you feel you are being watched BECAUSE YOU ARE!) We take the time from whatever we are doing to jump into this mode and ban people because we hate hackers as much as you do, they kill the game and make it no fun. You have to understand that when we go into this mode it takes some time, so by you screaming at the top of your lungs will make us go no faster then what we are doing. If we receive a video from a player about a hacker all online admins take a look at the video and decide from there and make a decision. If we get to a point where you are claimed for the same hack more than once (with the exception of aimbotting) you could be banned if it becomes an annoyance the admin team will majority vote your fate on the server. When it comes to more than one people claiming you being a hacker we look into multiple things. Are the people complaining in one big group trying to majority themselves to overpower the said player, are you just another guy jumping on the bandwagon for trying to claim someone hacking. We look into all these things and see if you are by Tping to you invisible and watching you.

How to Handle Downtimes !

Hey guys this post is to explain how to handle Downtimes when an admin calls one.

First thing to know when a banner goes up saying “Server Downtime 30mins " the server will not be wiped. We will let you know if we are wiping the server, unless we have no control of the wipe. Second this is not the time to go out pvping as for when the server goes down any items in Loot Bags (The ones you get off dead people) will be lost. When the banner goes up for 5 mins this is the time were you should go back in your houses and under your rocks. When the server says 60 Secs. THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO DROP 30 C4 ON THE GROUND FOR YOUR FRIEND TO PICK UP. This is the time for you to say good bye to the server for 5 mins while the admin team does its thing. NOTE: Any Items lost after the 5 min mark is called will NOT be reimbursed. We ask that you understand and have some patients with the admins while they do what they need to do.

Why the server takes a Downtime.

The server takes a downtime for a few reasons. First off this helps the server relieve all the stress that you guys put on it. It also reduces server lag from too much uptime. Sadly we do not have access to our servers as they are hosted off location so when server is un-reachable and we say we can't really do anything that’s because the server is hosted by our friends from HFB and we have to go through there amazing ticket system to get any immediate assistance with our server.

We hope that you guys can understand why and what you need to do when we call a downtime. This is for the benefit of you, it allows the server to run smoother and run more efficient.

Scheduled Downtime 2/24/14 3:15PM Est

Hey guys we are doing anothe downtime to reduce server lag at 3:15PM EST
THIS IS NOT A WIPE. Any itmes lost during the Schedueld downtime will not be replaced or given back. so when the 5 min warning Pops up we ask the Players return to there respected homes (or under rocks if your new) and avoid all PvP confrentations. There will be Multiple pop ups letting you know the till the downtime. Server will be down no more then 5 mins! Thank you for understanding.

Setting server downtime for scheduled maitnece to clear up lag and things. Maximum 5 min downtime ! at 9:25 be home we will not reimbursement you in anyway if things are lost during the downtime.

They Finally Got Us

As of 12:30 AM 2/23/2014 Server was hit by a DDoS ( Distributed Denial of Service Attack) Hit our server causing to be taken offline. Your Adminstration team is on the job trying to fix the server and re-establish it now. We ask that players remain calm and have some paitients, For you more hardcore players now would be the time to use the bathroom and get some food.. We are in talks with our service provider now to see what we can do about these attacks and how to handle them better that would allow our players to not suffer for the assholes who are trying to ruin it. So for the people that didnt want to read this look here.
