oh its easy check the item out in you or whoever you are tradings with bp on bp.tf then click on the item and then hit history. if its duped it will tell you in big red letters warning this item is duped

How do you tell if an item is duped? Also, if you have a gift from, say, a youtuber (Stabby Stabby) is it still worth less?

its not scamming at all some people just dont care. i know many people who dont care if an unusual is duped

i wouldnt say so i have sold more than too many duped unusuals for just about the same as the clean version. gifted is obvious and anyone can see it while duped isnt as easy to see and now everyone knows about it

Duped makes it like, 60% less. Duped unususals are WORSE than gifted.
