First, I'd like to thank you for this config.

I noticed that I can't view the scoreboard at the end of the round in arena. I'm using HighFPS in DX8 mode. Also, any ideas on disabling the spy picture that pops up when you cloak/ break cloak? Its very blurry and obstructs my vision.

ATM im more then busy with my reallife. As some of you may noticed i was offline for quite some time and havent checked anything related to QLC.

I have some ideas for QLC v3.0 but idk if and when it will be done. RL comes first. If you have Idea keep them unitl i have more time.
I will anounce when im looking for them :)

Btw my QLC has more members then my last visit and nothing happen here :D :D

The Q is not the "real" last Use. It iterates between two weapons as discripted in the cfgs. I say it only to be sure you get that to unterstand if the behavior is a bug or not.
If this dont help i cant help atm because of the lack off time. Maybe someone found a way to solve it. :/

Hey awesome work Quantum! I just have one problem, and that is with the custom weapon settings. Is the Q (last weapon used) button supposed to be a bit ... bugged or have I done something incorrectly when configuring my settings? The Q button is now quite unreliable and doesn't always react :(

If your TF crashes after your frist death -> Add ind your autoexec.cfg as last command "hud_reloadscheme" or type it into console after first connect.

IDK what you are doing there, im confused too x)

Kill your TF2 and reinstall it.
- Start Steam check TF2 integrety of the gcf files
- Stop steam
- Delete the "teamfortress2\tf" folder
- Start Steam again and start TF2

If this dont work i only can say "You doing it wrong"

I have this Error Message sometimes myself, it occurs only when i die the first time. Lately I had crashes occur more often. I think valve patch something.

I cant say why this excatly happen. But i think its releated with the multicore enabled and some Cvars which i can't find.

Try to play without multicore, sadly this cost a huge FPS amount.

I am having a HUGE problem with this config. I am a competitive Team Fortress 2 players so i need the highest number of FPS as possible without any crash at all.

The thing is, before i used to get around 30 fps, and now with the HighFPS i get around 200-350 FPS at the cost of almost nothing graphically.

Everything is well set up and usually i don't have crashes.

BUT. There has been a problem i have been having, where when i kill someone and get killed where the name of the person should appear it says "Name of the Killer" or something like that and the game just crashes without giving any message.

If you want my MDMP of the crash i can send you it.

Hopefully you can help me solve this problem as i can't have a crash at all as it could cost a full game.

i want to uninstall it. so i can see if my game runs fine running normally. cuz i got a random fps increase of like 70 fps. so now im running like 100 on your config. so i figure i could get around 40 without.
i deleted it and followed the untinstall directions but right before the game menu comes up, my screen goes black for a split second and it reverts to the config. im really confused

Sry i meant an empty autoexec tp prevent any loading of config at startup.

If i missunterstood you and you want to use my QLC FPS then follow the Manual Installation on the Downloadpage. (SourcePackage)

its one of the configs that gives you more fps. i'm pretty sure its just the high fps one not the superhigh fps one. all my people dont have eyes if that helps at all. and i used the uninstall pdf and used the launchoption but it still didn't work. what is a clear autoexec?

I dont know your config, because of that i can´t say why. but try the uninstallation (pdf) and then use a clear autoexec.cfg. That should help. Dont forget the launchoption.

Hey Quantum, you're config has definately helped me out.
But when I decided to uninstall, I got confused...

Uninstallation instructions are:
"Start Steam RightClick on "Team Fortress 2" -> Properties -> Set Launch Options
Backup the LaunchOption you want to keep. You can see in the MainConfig.cfg which
you added for this cfg.
Remove all LaunchOptions and add only "-autoconfig".
Details about LaunchOptions can be found in the Knowledge Base (Link bottom)
Start the Uninstaller
Start "Team Fortress 2" and quit.
Remove and the "-autoconfig" and restore the LaunchOptions you wanted to keep."


I don't know if I should just type -autoconfig in the Box that Opens up when you click that or what... I just want to uninstall the whole thing.

I think he means this :). copy the files in "../cfg/Quantum.cfg/SourceEngine/Graphic/SoureEngine_<High OR ultrahigh FPS>" to "../cfg/" and execute them in you "autoexec.cfg" after your stuff :)

I don't know how to make it super high fps. Is there any chance you can copy out of the files the best fps for me so i can just replace mine with it? I've changed things but it always looks the same.

Ok ._.Proly a lot of people already told it, but... >.< This fps config REALLYYY helped me...
I was getting +/- 10~20 (sometimes 6... yes SIX) fps in situations of 'heavy combat'... And like 90-120 when I was in the respaw, looking to a locker...
Now I get ASTLEAST 60 fps in combat, with 3 ubercharged pyros and demomans blowing the world (even in 32 players servers)... And more than 400 fps when in the respaw ._.
ANND I'm using the "high fps" not the "ultra high fps"... Thanks dude ._. It was almost impossible to play as scout... Thanks to you I can enjoy this game again :D

Btw, sorry for the poor english...

Try to install the QLC-SourcePackage into a clean TF2 Game.
Just follow the Uninstall.pdf which comes with my Config.

Then play without any cfg or mod and take a look if it works again. If not check Steam Connectionsettings. If its still bugged then its your Network ;)

If all work fine you can try to install my cfg again if you want.
About the installer i can only guess why it dont work...

So my problem with the config is it simply will not install the installer wont do it auto. Also when I try to manual install with your instructions it doesn't work at all. I had your config 2.1 on my old comp and it installed fine with the installer now it just will not work. Now I can't play tf2 at all lags way to much.

Ich gehe mal davon aus das du das Waffenscript nutzt. Schau in die "../tf/cfg/Quantum.cfgWeapon_Binds.cfg" das must du dir anpassen oder auskommentieren -> bind "q" "QLC_LastUsed" <-

quantum: wie kann ich denn die letztbenutzte waffe aendern, bzw deaktivieren?
ich moechte naemlich z.b. beim pyro die axt mit q rausholen koennen nachdem ich die leute aus dem hinterhalt angebrannt habe, mit der 3 braucht das einfach zu lange...
habs nicht geschafft es zu dekativieren...

Bug:
It seem that sometimes if you choose the Installer directory it can happen that the IPath is changed to ".../teamfortress2/Quantums Little Config\tf\" instead of "/teamfortress2/tf/".

Workaround:
Copy everything from ".../teamfortress2/Quantums Little Config\tf\" to "/teamfortress2/tf/".
And please let me know that it, happend i take this atm as "can happen" at low percentage.

Hm das Problem ist auch kurzzeitig im Betatest aufgetretten. Wir dachten aber es gelöst zu haben. Wenn mir noch andere Leute melden nehme ich es in die FAQ auf. Mit der eigenen Seite hatte ich mal nachgedacht, aber ich bin zufrieden wie es ist. Suchmaschinen finden normal immer nen link hin.

nochwas, bei mir erkennst den pfad nicht. hab ....\team fortress 2\ angegeben, hat dann den ordner Quantums Little Config\tf\.. angelegt. musste es also manuell verschieben...

Du kannst diese Config für viele SourceSpiele verwenden, da sie die gleiche Engine im Hintergrund haben. Aber Granatie kann ich dafür nicht geben ;)

Spiel mal mit dem Char unten rum. In meiner cfg ist nichts was am Gamma rumstellt. Solltest du den Window&Noborder Mode nutzen musst du das gamma im treiber einstellen oder windows
mat_monitorgamma : 1 : : monitor gamma (typically 2.2 for CRT and 1.7 for LCD)

Hi, erstmal vielen Dank für die Arbeit, die du dir mit dieser Config gemacht hast, ich bin restlos Begeistert ;). Bei meinen TF2 Spielen habe ich bei fast gleichgebliebenen wahrgenommenen Details einen höheren FPS Wert.

Wäre es möglich, die Config so anzupassen, dass sie auch auf andere Source Spiele (DOD:S oder CS:S) angewandt werden könnte? Ich habe die Config spaßeshalber mal in meinen DOD:S Config Ordner kopiert bis auf drei, vier Befehle wurde auch alles sauber ausgeführt nur habe ich momentan ein Problem, dass das Bild trotz max. Helligkeit sehr dunkel ist, dunkler als mit den Standardsettings, die ich vorher hatte und sich die Helligkeit während des Laufens verändert mal wird es heller, dann wieder dunkler.
