Done. Good to know there are others out there. Previously the only other aviator I had known on steam was early-stage student pilot who never really comitted himself to it. I am a just-prior-solo student pilot working on post-solo instruction (while waiting for legal things to clear with my medical)

MS Flight simulator is a bad teaching tool. In fact if I had students that flew on there for practice, I would kick them in the head repeatedly till theiy no longer could remember their names and then I would start over in teaching them. If you are a pilot already and in pursuit of an instrument rating, then YES, it can be a good tool. BUT...if you never flown a plane before or a student pilot....erase it and never use it again... :P

It teaches new students more bad habits than anything I have ever witnessed.

Guys, I don't know if any of you have a MIcrosoft Flight Sim game but if anyone does, we should have a group flight on VATSIM, it would be fun and if NASNI came we would probably learn something too lol. Ideas? Suggestions?

Anyone can learn how to fly a plane but it can take up to 10 years to be a great aviator. Start learning now and register on the website. Here is a quick fact! Once you start learning how to fly, you should never stop studying .... EVER!! Once your a professional, you will break open the books monthly. The more you learn now, the more you can learn later.

Yes good idea, CLASSROOM, and we did get some formula that wasnt overly complicated but this is actually easier-is it accurate results

and finally, for example, most cessna flight computers I have seen come with a conversion scale for F and C, since the temperate you get from your instrument is in one but you need the other-so couldnt you just use that?
