The Space Pope, being our 666th member, is Player of the Week. Or in this case, Player of the Beast.

As many have noticed our insta steam-thread (just add water!) has moved from the general Penny Arcade steam group to PA G&T Adventure Team. Part of the reason for this move was due to the lack of any sort of administration in chat, as we can't fully expect the board admins to monitor the very busy chat at all hours as well. After having complaints stacked on our desks for some weeks the Adventure Team Administration Fellowship has come to the conclusion that we are going to have to start temporarily removing problematic chatters, and in some rare cases removing their membership altogether. Kicks and Bans will be used to deter chat-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, dong measuring contests and all other manner of unpleasant interactions which make life for chatters difficult. How can you ensure your membership remains intact and you're able to talk it up with your fellow PA Steamers in real time, entering and creating steamgift giveaways for the non-russian infiltrated group? I think Big Isy said it best late last year:

First off, we will not be admitting new members during any large Steam Sale, except in edge cases decided purely on the personal criteria of the admins and mods.

If you aren't a poster on the Penny Arcade forums expect kicks/bans/humiliation. That's just how it is. We don't care about your Steam Trader rep.

Finally, this group has become extremely popular in large part due to Steamgifts.com giveaways. We're going to take this opportunity to say that while we do what we can to keep this community classy and keep the moochers out, we all want to maintain the open door policy this group has to all members of the Penny Arcade Forums community. This means that there is an inherent risk in these giveaways. Someone who you think doesn't deserve to win may in fact win your giveaway. When we accept someone into this group we don't really have any hard and fast criteria like join dates or post counts or gifts given. This info does figure into the process but we go on a case by case approach. It's this way because none of the admins want to have their hands tied by a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rules and criteria.

So here it is; Feel free to post all the Steamgifts giveaways you want, but we don't want to hear about postcounts and joindates. If it's that big of a deal to you, go to Steamgifts and get them to reroll or whatever it is they do over there. Or better yet, get creative and make a contest. Or drive-by ninjagift at random people in the community and on your friends list. Of course if we get someone who is an obvious classless mooch we will ban the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. On our own personal criteria in a case by case approach. We will not tolerate another Dr Mario Kart. In case you aren't familiar with that reference this person was a long time member of the PA Forums turned serial giveaway winner who never communicated a word of thanks or appreciation and avoided all communication on this offensive behavior.
