OP4 PUBLIC SERVER

The Op4 public server has been migrated to our new mission ADverse ENvironment (ADEN) on Chernarus. In this mission you will fight against the Armed Forces of The Russian Federation in an attempt the liberate Chernarus.

MISSION FEATURES

Preset Standardized Loadouts and additional access to Arsenal
Moving Front line that allows you to select which strongpoint you would like to assault
Reinforcements of all kinds, Armor, Infantry, and Aircraft
Score based access to specialty roles such as armor crew and pilots

Planned features include a rally point system to make it easier to link up with your friends, more patrols between strongpoints, and other things to increase the challenge level of the mission.

Since we've launched this mission, our previous mission (COIN) has been set aside for the time being and we will focus on having 1 public server running ADEN and a Headless Client to improve everyones experience on our server.

ADEN - Chernarus Test (Closed)

I will be conducting a test of my new persistant public mission ADverse ENvironment, it does not require any mod other than those in our Public Server #2 steam collection.

This test is closed to the public and only Op4 Members/Recruits are allowed to attend for now.

Test will start at ~2030 CDT on MONDAY 29 MAY 2017.

Not required, 100% optional if you want to show up and mess around with the new mission a bit.

When:

Purpose:
Going to attempt to get a few Op4 together and play on another groups public server in order to spread the Op4 name.

Target Server:
7th Cav Public Server

Steps to prepare:

1. Visit THIS mod collection and subscribe to any mods you are not already subscribed to

2. Make a mod launch preset in the launcher with ONLY these mods, the target server uses signature verification.

3. Enable BATTLE-EYE anticheat in the Arma 3 Launcher

4. Navigate to your ace install and remove the ace_nouniformrestrictions, ace_particles, and any of the other optionals that Op4 currently requires

From this point forward, the op4gaming servers have migrated mod installation to Steam Workshop. If you are a member, you can find the links to the Op4 Members Required Mods collection in the mod thread located on our forums.

If you are not a member, or are inactive and just want to play on our public servers the Op4 Public Server #1 Collection and the Op4 Public Server #2 Collection will download the minimum required mods for joining their respective public server. In addition, you can download all or pick and choose any mods in the Op4 Optional Mods Collection as these are mods we actively run on all servers.

If you decide to handle your mod installs manually from this point on you will need to constantly stay up to date with the latest version. You are strongly encouraged to take the plunge and switch to Steam Workshop from now on. That being said, it is still your responsibility to maintain and stay up to date with all of your mods, if you switch to Steam Workshop, this is as simple as booting steam up every so often to allow it to check for updates.

Final notes on this switch:

Standardized mod update day is gone. mods will update when they are updated on the Workshop.
13TOC Members will need to install their membership pbo manually.
If you use the Arma 3 Launcher, this switch will barely effect you. If you use a .bat file to launch Arma 3, you will need to adjust your modline to reflect the new mod installs.
You should be able to find named mod folders (@ace, @CBA_A3, etc) in a hidden folder named !Workshop in your Arma 3 root directory.
You still need to install optionals for mods like ACE3. For example, the ace_nouniformrestrictions.pbo and any other ace optional required. Copy and paste any optionals you need from the optional folder into the addon folder, just like before.
You still need to install userconfigs for certain mods, such as the userconfig folder in the @Op4 Extras Pack, copy the userconfig folder and paste it into your Arma 3 root directory, allow it to merge and overwrite any old versions of the userconfigs.

NOTES:

We've switched to Steam Workshop for Red Hammer Studio mods (unfortunately). While this will cause us to have less control over when this mod updates, it will be beneficial for those who have slower internet connections as it only updates the pbos that have actually changed. This will result in smaller updates instead of having to redownload the whole thing every time.

ViperMcgees pack also updated with a few new requested items and a uniform for a new Op4 member PV2 Fish, who has successfully completed the REC! Everyone congradulate Fish when you see him.

ACE update, make sure to install the required optional pbos, Ill put a list of the required ones you need. Brandon found a ACE3 extension allowing easy deployment of certain items, sandbag walls, road signs, etc. so it was added to required for future use.
