I just noticed there is a 80% sale on OW now. Anybody who haven't bought the game should get it now.

Padocholik: Customres is the most common way to change your resolution. Also, you may try changing it in your game launcher.
Not a long time ago, I've prepared some video guide how to set up your OW params - you may find it useful:

Don't forget, that your res must be above 1024x768 and start your game via "launch game" (2nd option after starting OW on steam).

Padocholik : use settings in modlauncher (OW's folder) to change OW's resolution ;)

How can i change resolution on steam version of Original War? CustomRes in steam parameters doesn't work...

Alright, thanks for your time :) , I'm really happy that the game is still 'alive' considering its age, I remember it as a kid, just the disk broke and I never got to play online, so seeing it on Steam, I was hype xD.

Original War is an old game (2001). People who were used to play it do not play anylonger. They're playing other games now. However, the community isn't really dead.

Indeed, you can have a look to OWN's forum which is active (even though the most active players are from Poland). I'm sure people will answer your questions and your subjects if you post something in the International Forums. There are also mods under development.

Some players may play with you if you ask it on the forum (or on Evolve's lobby maybe). It's not sure, but posting a subject is free ;)

To conclude, Original War isn't that dead. There are two groups : people who still play the game (but who play only with friends for some reasons), and people who don't play the game but read the forums. Try asking these people to play with you on the forums, maybe they'll agree.

I did join the community, I'm new mind you yes, but it seriously always seems dead with barely anyone playing at any times, and the few times there are people playing, they only want to play with each other, which I can understand but seriously, its always just a small batch of players that lurk with each other, other than that, Evolve/Steam just seems so dead and I've seen videos with the likes of the throwback mod with pretty large lobbies, and it just seems so odd that its always dead nearly. is there something I've done wrong or I'm missing?
