Had wanted to do some things that, with where I've gotten, I couldn't and with Sunset Harbor breaking everything, even though the DLC is looking great on a whole, it kinda gave me a perfect opportunity restart New York and so, that'll be what I'll do.

@WTC1973 I already sorta started again... I'm using the map you're using. This time it's gonna be trickier, because there aren't any pre existing roads to build off of, so I gotta try to get the angles right or close enough first. I always start with West st near where the WTC is. But yeah, it sucks. I'll try to recreate exactly what I did, using the screen shots I took... If i can some how access my previous version of NYC i would go back to it.

@MadCat I was thinking of making my own map based on heightmaps, but not sure how it will turn out. I haven't done the --noWorkshop thing yet. I did notice a chicago map I have worked fine, until the new launcher came out, now it's just like cleavus's map. All f*cked up... I think i might still do some trial and error with my NYC map, as of right now. I really don't feel like it.

@WTC1973 Before the new launcher, before 2020, maybe a month before the new year, I noticed there was a recent update, and that roads core+ and New Roads for NExT 2 wasn't supported anymore so, I subscribed to the alternative a continuation by lazarus, I still am subscribed to the those outdated mods, but they're not active.

If I may give my small bit of info/knowledge to perhaps help with kman's problem... I've seen that they've used the "New Roads for NExT 2" in his save, so potentially, maybe the original version of that mod's finally snapped and stopped working for kman, causing them some problems.

Not 100% sure, just throwing my 2 cents, but I feel that may be the case.

I'm trying to figure out which map I used, I cant remember if it was a download or one i made myself based on hightmaps, I think its a download but I cant seem to find it in my subscriptions. I wonder if one of your mods has caused this issue as even older saves and the original map wont work for you, have you tried disabling some mods or assets ? if this works anymore as the launcher seems to have stopped it from working for me, you could launch the game using the --noWorkshop launch option which will disable workshop and as long as you don't save will do no damage to your cities once it is removed and the game is launched normally, but again the launcher may have killed this option.

Damn. That seriously sucks.
NYC map I use is the one by Chehaut, gives me more of Manhattan and Harlem while allowing for building something like the Grant Houses.
Still sucks that you're gonna have to rebuild NYC from the ground up, though, sorry to hear of that.

Yeah, I'm going have to rebuild it... None of my 4 different saves will load properly... But this is new, i'm having trouble loading the maps I used to create NYC. like the cleavus map I always use. I get object reference error and the roads are all glitchy and displaced, and the simulation in frozen. What NYC maps are you guys using?

So, I cannot access my previously saved NYC that I put so much time and effort into... I haven't actually loaded it/ played it since march 2019. I'm not sure what the issue may be, but i'm thinking i'm using a mod or asset that is no longer there or supported... When i try to load my saved NYC, There are no errors, but a light blue screen with a bunch of cims spawning in one place, and what looks to be some sort of flag in the middle of the screen... Idk it's so weird. I took screen shots of it.

Alright-y then. Good to know I ain't the only one. The stuff I probably have occurring are far more noticeable, but still, I do what I try to do what I can to have it fit/look the part.

All the time, some roads just dont quite fit right, but I do what I can to get them to fit, but sometimes I have to just live with not having all the smallest streets, or have them not line up perfectly.

May be a stupid thing to ask/say, but has anyone here ever had to take liberties when replicating NY? Just asking because I'm having tons to do so.

That's where I got to get Naskko's buildings back. Had a Google Drive, but couldn't properly work it out, so went to there and got everything back.

Also, I'm gonna see if I can be a bit more active on Steam groups like here.

Oh yes, for those who are interested this is the site http://smods.ru/ and im a little hesitant but also desperate so i'm going to risk it, it looks ok and just seems to be some sort of Russian backup of steam workshop, maybe to get around Russian censors, i'm not sure, but if you want to test out some of these yourself here you go.

OK EVERYONE, good news, I found a, well, rather sketchy site that apparently backed up many of naskko's buildings, actually they also have several of mine but they link back to the original creators on steam so I’m chill with them, also it means that almost all of the buildings are there, I’m going to go through and test them over the next day or so and if they all work out I will most likely reupload them onto the workshop.

i'm going to only work on the 1:1 but if people do want the 1:1.5 the site had them as well, the buildings I been able to recover from this site are 60 wall, 500 fifth, one madison park, the ny times, and the hearst tower, the site has all the others he made as well, including the dubi ones, but I am going to focus on and test the nyc ones first, will let you know how it goes once I have time to test them out.

Okay, So, I tested the Chrystler building, and it works... Rico and everything. The first time i tested it, it disappeared from the folder I put it in... I would like to test others that no one can seem to get working.

So, i'm gonna test these as soon as i get a chance.

I have several of naskko26 buildings. But I can't get them to work when transferring them over to the game. I've resorted to getting ones off the workshop that were done a long time ago by other people. But if anyone can manage to the ones from naskko working that would be great.

This does have a lot of their buildings, including One WTC, 20 Exchange Place and the Paramount Building but it seems to be missing the Rose Tower from Dubai while several other Dubai buildings only have rico files that are useless without the .crp file. If anyone has access to any of those buildings, I would very much appreciate them being placed in a Google Drive or otherwise being made accessible.

Well Crap, My New York is decimated, lots of missing buildings, unfortunatly the only one I saved and downloaded was 20 Exchange place because I needed to modify its base since it was released pre move it and the roads didn't line up. so I may reupload it if we don't see anything from naskko.

I have no Idea, I was last in contact with him about a year ago, then he disappeared, came back like 8 months later uploaded some stuff, and now this, I have no idea what is going on.

Anyone know what happened to naskko26? Their removing all assets blew a lot of holes in my city, especially my Manhattan and Dubai areas.

That sounds great, I realy need to finish up 3 WTC, the model is done I just need to map it, I hope both of us can get back into the swing of making buildings.

Hey just wondering if any of you guys have any problems with the Brooklyn Bridge assest? For me whenever I place it the tower and structure does not appear only the roads, I suspect it's due to the assest not being updated in over a year.

Yes, Madison Square Garden is the round building. The Arena. That would be nice if you could make that. It would also be cool to make the stations right bleow it. Not necessarry. As I can make my own platforms. The 2 Penn plaza (Tower part) would be cool too. Your call tho.
