Steam has to be open, you need to restart steam after full installation. The game needs to run in administrator mode and both you need to have your network play setting set to on in the in-game settings menu.

If you still can't see eachothers games, then a working alternative is either one of you can send a steam invite to have the other join their game.

Literally unable to find my friends game. We both are online on steam. Did all the steps. Not working mate. Halp?
