Yeah, the goggles seem extra awkward on the demoman in my opinion, and also I hate the way it layers with the team captain.
By the way, you should check out my screenshots; I had a glitch with the goggles on sniper and it looked pretty good to me.

Ever try equipping it on Spy? It makes him look like a bug. I'd rather it be an action item then a misc. Don't make me choose between my Cremator's Conscience and the Summer Shades that I built my cosmetic set around.
And have any of you gotten a tauntkill with the Scorch Shot? It's pretty badass, even though it has to be at point-blank range.

Yeah caber is fun and destructive (I use it as my main melee) but it's a, more often than not, one time use weapon.
Also, I wish the pyro vision thing wasn't a cosmetic item. It just doesn't look very good with many loadouts. At the very least it'd be nice if there was a different style to it.

I'd like to update my earlier comments about Pyromania. First of all, I absolutely love the Scorch Shot, especially the taunt. Totally worth the 4 scrap I had to use to craft it. That said, the Pyroland weapons are only reskins and they feel kinda gimmicky since you can't even see them without the goggles. I'm neutral about the rest of the weapons, but I do like the new scattergun because it allows Spies to disguise as Scouts more convincingly. And Vay, I agree about the Demo weapons. Demoknight is stupid, and I hate having to use either the pan or the bottle if I don't want to be crippled as a functional class.

Third day update is at least on the website at the moment; it includes pyro vision (all class) and the items shown in meet the pyro including the rainbow flamethrower and the giant lollipop.

We haven't seen the scorch shot in action so I think it's a little early to call it terrible. Not to mention, do you really think they will only give the pyro one weapon during this update? Seriously just wait until tomorrow, I'd be surprised if the pyro didn't get a slew of new weapons. Also, the engie and medic would be hard to make new weapons for that don't make huge changes to the gameplay.
Honestly, I'm just sad there's not any new items for the demoman (for now) that aren't just new melee weapons.

I will be making my server a 24/7 doomsday server a couple of days. Completely defeating the "7" of 24/7.

Does anyone else find it depressingly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ typical that not only does the Pyro get shafted in his own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ update, but the Engineer gets ignored AGAIN? This is the Soldier's sixth item set, Scout's fifth, and Engie only has two. And the Scorch Shot? Valve ruined it with the 50 PERCENT DAMAGE DROP. You'd be better off just sticking with the normal flare gun, since it'll only do 45 damage on crit.

So the update for day 2 is a look at some of the new items (weapons, hats and miscs.). They are city themed items for the scout, sniper and soldier along with a new flare gun for the pyro. Also, I don't know if it's good or bad yet but there is going to be a new SMG for the sniper... finally.

I don't think we'll actually see any of this event in game until Wednesday and it probably won't even be somewhat glitch free until Friday unfortunately.

I have a server to dispose of, but I need more information on this gamemode.

I'm at least hoping someone in newbs can start one for the event but who knows.

I suppose I'll be the one to say it. The update has started which is called Pyromania. Today is day 1 of 3 as far as updates go. A new game mode was added today, called Doomsday.

I was thinking that if anyone notices anything interesting (and not obvious) with this event, they should post it here so that we can all be in the know.
As for now, I'm sure not everyone's heard about the adult swim promotion going on with TF2 so look that up if it's news to you.

Anybody heard of a the Pan tourney? It's a 6 on 6 melee only tournament to determine the superiority of each team's pansmanship. Sound like something we could organize?
