G'day,

Today I(Lax) would like to announce a namechange for our community. Taking a few+ weeks and with close amount votes between which name should be chosen, I am proud to announce that from here on forth, we will cease to be known as AGC(Australian Gaming Community) and instead, change to a more fun and unique name, MGV or Modders, Gamers and Vegemiters.

It was a close vote, from all the names that were submitted, I would like to thank everybody who participated in doing so, as well as those that voted.

Please note, that right now we do not have typically appealing picture that represents our community, but that will come in time.

Along side a new name, soon we will have a TS hosted by an actual server. For those who don't know, the TS is hosted locally at my house. Having a TS hosted offsite will enable a larger amount of people on the TS and eventually help us grow in size and quality. This is not free however and I will be setting up a way of donating for those who wish to do so.

Those two things will happen hopefully in the next 3 months, but untill then, let us game and bask in the new and very cool name: Modders, Gamers and Vegemiters!

Warm AGC welcome to 2015

Welcome to 2015 guys!

Last year we laid a bit of ground-work, how we are going to function and where we are going to go for the years to come. I would consider it our first official year as the gaming community that we are all building and part of.

I am planning 2015 to be a large year for us. We will be steering away from ground-work for the community and jumping into plans for setting up and maintaining servers on various games, an official layout for Arma events and introducing solid DCS weekend missions for those who wish to join. Towards the middle and end of 2015, depending if certain things have been set up during the first half of the year, we may be setting up plans for a website and forums plus ground-work for making the community financially self sufficient, exploring various ways in doing that.

By 2016, we will be a larger, more official and be very well structurally supported in how we operate and perform.

All in all, I am looking forward to spending 2015 with everybody and to see how far we can go.

Hey mah peeps! Just want to let you all know that 2014 was great! Had a lot of fun and it is encouraging to see all the vids covering the year, what we have done and been up to.

Looking forward to 2015 and see how far we can take this community! From here, sky is the limit, and I can't wait to spend another year with everybody and others that will soon become part of this community.

YouTube and the Community

We have finally reached a point where we can no longer ignore the subject of the community and YouTube, relating to privacy and monetisation.

I would appreciate it if all available members would attend a discussion to chat about certain rules, voice their opinion and help in the further developement with the community directly.

I would like to see at least 1 current or looking to become YouTubers and a healthy turn out of members in general to build a proper knowledge of both sides of the discussion.
