I've decided to start up a new MC server so we will all still have a good place to go with our former MatCat friends. AC has agreed to help set it up and administrate it so we'll get there eventually... It's gonna take some time and $$ but we can do it with everyone's support.
Check out the temp forums that Vaughan mentioned and the TS server that Pax mentioned to keep up on what's going on.

Hello all,

Just wanted to inform you what is up with the server (and ask you to spread the word). What happened is this: due to the lack of people on lately, donations had dwindled down, until finally pretty much no money was coming in anymore. This led, naturally, to money problems and as a result the server was taken down. Fortunately, we shall restart!

Myself and a large group of others are going to remake the server, but it will most likely no longer be MatcatSMP. We will need to start afresh on a totally new server, with a new name and new map. The main people involved, at this moment, are: AC, Lizard, Xyn, Vaughandevine, Minermalfunction, Telchar, me. We have not heard back yet from Nuke, but it's pretty likely that he will join the effort, as will Darth.

For the time being, we have a temporary TS server, the IP is 208.126.93.204. Pass this on!

I hope this gives you some idea of what is going on. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
