Currently trying to get together a LAN party pretty quickly here, and making it a public event for people from the Madison area to attent - AKA everyone reading this!. The event will be held May 4th, with a location that is to be determined. The LAN organizers will provide unlimited soda, the switches and cables to connect everything else...etc. A price for the event is still being worked out. So far the games of interest are:
-LoL
-DOTA 2
-CSGO
-QuakeLive
-Age of Empires 2
-Sins of a Solar Empire
If you are interested in attending a LAN in the Madison area like the one abovementioned, please let us know in these comments, or check out the LAN organizer's website: www.madlan.org .
If there are other games you would like to be played at the event, let us know in your comment here. The website also has a form you can fill out and list the games you're interested in. Thanks!
I'm currently getting in contact with some places that we might be able to hold LAN events at. I was curious what the interest in a LAN would be, so I'm posting on the wall here to see. Who's interested in potentially attending LANs here in Madison? If you want to list any games you'd really like to see there, list those as well! Thanks.
Almost 100 members in only a few days, which is awesome! I just created a Facebook group that will be an extension of the steam group. My hope is that it will be another outlet to reach even more gamers in the Madison area. As always, the purpose being to game together, form LAN teams, or just to hear about LANs in the area. The link to the Facebook Page will be on the right sidebar, and also at the end of this post. Again, feel free to direct any friends from the greater Madison area to this group - let's keep it growing! Thanks for all of your help so far, and look out for LAN events being posted here, as I'm already in contact with a few people that may be hosting some in the area soon!
