Telkom or M-WEB, or both are scruing me ping the last weetwo weeks varied constantly between 40 and 600. the one blames the other and I am in the middle not getting any service.

hey guys i found something interesting for you ^^ if you wanna get a game but don't have money for the game try these sites to participate in free offers (surveys, videos and more...) and get free steam games or steam wallet for the points you earn there. It will take some of your time earning points but the good thing is that you also can refer the sites to others (like i do ^^) and get points for their completed offers. So if you're interested, give it a try and you'll see that its worth it :)

im a noob when it comes to this, but for pasted few weeks my ping has been extremly high 600+ and it never was like this my ping normally between 60 and 80...

what can i do to get back, please help?????

My download speed for the past couple of weeks are up to Sh%t. Going from 1mb and 5.2 mb, this is on a 4mb uncapped line. Neither telkom on mweb can give me any feed back why it is like this.

@Tonna - Yes there may be large number of gamers, but revenue-wise businesses must be Telkom's priority when it comes to ADSL and not the individual users. And as I say, what can we do - boikot Telkom? Not pay our Telkom bills?? - They will simply cut us off.
@MDK - so I presume that the problem is fixed and that your ping is ok now? Will be interesting to see if Boobchoob (Telkom ISP) is ok now as well as he runs of the same exchange. we also run off the same exchange (Afrihost ISP) but have not had any ping problems.
Carte Blanche may not be a bad idea at all!

Hi guys like most people know i had a problem with my ping for about 2 week now and finaly i found someone at the call center i could understand and got help on saterday. Monday a technition came and at my gate told me the found a massive ballsup at the exchange and they fixxxxxed it. 0800 375 375 was the number i phoned and then reported a fault. So gus its not alway MWEB thats at fault believe you me i had some harsh words to say at an MWEB Techi. But Tonna is right if we dont speak up no ones going to listen. so invite even if your not MWEB or TELKOM join WE need everyone.

Might even think of Carte Blanching it

DoePa, MWEB is trying, and Telkom, well they dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about service......a big % of accounts are gaming accounts, as, you well know, not only kids play games, but lots of business owners too.I dont know what the effect of the group is, BUT, i will NOT just sit back, and SHUT UP, even IF i am pissing against the South Easter.

So, we have created his group - now what affect is it having - does MWeb and Telkom even care??? Gamers must be a very small % of their user groups and an even smaller % of their revenue. Why would they give a ♥♥♥♥??? Were else can we go - Telkom has a monopoly - why should they bother about customer service to the small guys??!!

Telkom 4Gb sucks, always dropping connections....5pm to 9pm is the worst...and the call centre is operated by morons.

yup, had a 384, upgraded to a 4 meg. now can't play after 5pm. 500ms ping with a 0.2m download. keep complaining but nothing happens......sucks

I've installed a 4meg line, and i now ping what i used to ping with my 384, about 7 weeks ago...WTF !!?At least the jumping of the ping has been solved

Yea this suck, im on telkom mainly but everytime I want to play black ops or get a mweb host on MW2 i must switch accounts to my afrihost free account.... O and those that have problems in Black ops on 384k, i dont know how many have heard about it, but telkom is now offering 1mbps lines for the price of 512k, it works great for me and not too expensive

Its rediculoues. I know a couple of friends that run on 384 kb lines, not with Mweb. I am now too on 384kbs with mweb, after almost 2 years of 4mb(it sux but oh well), what irritates me now is since im on 384, 9 out of 10 times i cant even connect to Black Ops servers(on mweb account) and when i do get to connect and join a game, my ping looks stable at 80-120, which you'll expect to have on 384, but as soon as start running on the map my ping gradually jumps up to 999, then i have to stand still for about 10 seconds for the ping to drop down to 120 so i can run 10 steps again and wait again.....so on and so on.

When i use my Afrihost Account however, I have connection everytime and my ping might jump as high as 200 and then stable again at 80-100.

BS Mweb BS !!!

also mweb think because they goot resonable uncapped they are the best thing in south africa. I have news for them they are not anymore. Any ISP that can handle Black ops is consider the best to me

This Will guy from Myadsl said that he's connection is fine at his home. What a lier. He said he tried like every night and clearly mweb is making his internet work fine or he is lieing. I'm sure of that. what total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
