Your base was in AL15, and ours is in AL18, with only water between us, which is too close for our comfort. I even offered to help you move your base, and you still refused. We were looking out for your interest, so that we wouldn't feel threatened by your base being there, as well as to keep you from being targeted by others who would come looking for the admins to raid, which I explained to you, but you STILL thought we were just being mean. We're sorry you felt like we were being "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥," as you called us, but we were looking out for you by trying to get you to move your base, and you responded by bringing out guns and shooting us and accusing us of abusing our power.

Sorry, Muse, we attempted to speak to you through voice chat, while you were standing right there behind twig walls, and you would not respond to us. We began breaking your twig to get your attention, and started talking to you then, but you went and got your DBS and started shooting at us. We asked you nicely to move your [very small] base, which was clearly built in about 20 minutes [about 5 stone foundations, with stone walls and ceiling, and about 8-10 twig foundations], not hours. However, you wanted to argue with us that we were being mean. We clearly told you that you were too close to us, because we consider the proximty to be a threat on us, and we do raid bases too close. We gave you the fair warning, and we asked you to move your base, but you refused to move, and continued shooting at us and telling us you were not anywhere near our base.

Welp, IM out of this group. Been on server for a long time, but now chased off by admins. Apparently they claim large areas in noob zone and wreck your base if you build anywhere in it. I was on whole seperate island area, and still "too close". Started wrecking my base Id spent hours on. Breaking it down. Could have typed me a message, but nope, just started destroying my base.

Id recommend playing elsewhere, or oking your base location with admins before you invest any time here. Pretty sad really. Wish there were actually non-admin abuse servers out there. Thought this was one. The search continues.

Hey Ayo, where did i say i was mad and surprised? like i said in my comment i don't mind being raided or killed that's rust and i expect that! most server's explain grief as blocking someone else's building by stopping them from entering or blocking there tool cupboard . but as i said that's rust its bound to happen and really doesn't bother me, i just pop on another server till a new wipe comes along. as for raiding me. the only reason i thought it was you the 3 times was because i saw you or havocs body in my base door i cant remember which (which raiding someone more than once is also grief) but as you say it was only you once that's fair enough.
as i've said raiding and killing is part of rust, which is a game i enjoy and i also enjoy this server so i will be back after the wipe has happened. as for raiding you Ayo lets be realistic i'm a solo player and will never happen ha!

and muse raided you first simbersnake. that's what he said. we raided you once and had to counter what muse was doing. so.. sounds like muse has a personal issue to me. did i raid you muse?

it was me they grief. nar there was nothing behind it. never met them or saw them in game. not bothered about getting killed or raided that's rust. but to raid someone 3 times then grief . some people have too much time on there hands. lol.

Yeah Muse, that I do understand. we don't know if there was anything behind it or not though. I guess we all should sit back and look at how we play, honestly I get pretty bored mid to late game. Raiding becomes more of a thing the longer it goes after a wipe.

While everything you said is true Dirt, theres another angle. Doing things like that to people will just chase them off the server. There is really no reason for it, its just being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I could see if somebody built right by your base and were hostile, but these guys ran ACROSS the map to do this. They would probably never even encounter the guy they chased off by blocking off his base. While I obviously dont want to play with 200 people, a few more couldnt hurt. No reason to chase them off for no reason.

That being said, I know its rust, and rust is brutal.

Rust is all about raiding and pvp. Creating a base and defending it, while destroying others is the name of the game. It's pure survival, and people do everything they can to survive including making friends and banding together. yeah, people can and do some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things while playing rust, but some people come together and stop those doing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things.

I agree to a point, Dirt, though the actual definition of a grief is pretty broad, but generally is agreed on as destroying something someone else put effort into building, and some even go as far as to include harassment as well, so technically the act alone of raiding is griefing. That said, outside of just taking everything someone else worked for, I'd consider any attempt to block that person from re-occupying their own base (yes, it is still their base, regardless of the raid), or even taking the entire base altogether, as griefing, given the grief it causes the player who had their work destroyed. Your definition is only one very specific form of griefing. I don't think too much about what Steve (Ayo) and Havoc do anymore, because no-one on the server really likes them anyway; we just tolerate them these days.

also, last thing here, if someone is running rampant and raiding every base on the server, don't you think it might be time to bring the fight to their doorstep? they must be that bored that they can raid bases that much and not have any one stand up and fight back.

i think you guys might need to take a look at what actually is griefing a base. Griefing a base is surrounding it with stone walls trapping people inside. it's putting signs and ladders over doors. or setting up turrets outside the doors of someone elses base. however if that tool chest is owned by someone building stone walls or turrets or signs, then it's not griefing. lets put it in other words, if i killed you and took your stuff, am i griefing you by using it's durability on the items i took? what people need to understand is that once a base is raided, it is not theirs anymore. they either have to fight to get it back, or use resources to take it back. I may sound like an ass, but the last thing i want is a base i raided to be reoccupied.

Gotcha. Yeah, saw Ayo and Havock do it to a guy. Seems like a sure way to chase them off the server for good vs just a normal raid. Rust is brutal

Is greifing a base youve raided by blocking it off with stone walls allowed?

not sure whats up, but since the server crash, the bradley and a bunch of elite chests and stone/iron/sulpher nodes have been either not spawning, invisible, or just weird.
just thought you guys should know the bradley hasn't been seen in over 2 hours now.

i have a screenshot of something that seems to happen just before a crash if it helps (was literally looking at it when a crash happened)

The server has been brought back online, with the APC enabled, and is open to all players. No rollback occurred.

An update has been applied, which mentioned fixing some issues causing crashes, though I can't say if this is the exact cause of our crashes at this time. The logs actually note the server crashes are being caused by complete exhaustion of memory-in other words, the server is running out of memory.

After the upgrade, testing was performed by spawning and destroying the APC several times without any issues at that time, though this is not conclusive that the crashes are resolved.

And, while there are some players that are typically always online during the majority of the crashes that have occurred, assumed foul play is being withheld at this time. But, should crashes continue to pose an issue, the possibility of individual player investigation may be conducted.

Hi EggroMan. Wipes don’t usually wipe blueprints, unless Facepunch forces a blueprint wipe, and we have no intention of wiping them manually. As for cloth, you can get an abundance of cloth from harvesting things, like Hemp Plants, Animals, and Cactus. You can also get cloth from recycling things, like unwanted clothing and armor, tarps, and sewing kits. Hope that helps!

Hey i got some quick questions does the wip take blueprints away as well and are there better ways to get cloth than killing animals bc i see no animals
