Anyone else have weird discolouration towards the base of their screen? The patch of strange colour moves as well and i cant figure out what it is.

spec wise mine is 16gb ram 750gb 1600x900 i7 3.7 ghz turbo i can run most games on high or ultra with around 40-63fps in high in ultra i get more or less 35-50fps

I hate how people dis off alienware, [You can just build your own computer.] 1.If we mess up our parts wouldn't we just need to replace them with new ones? 2.Try creating a portable laptop that has a decent amount of battery time. 3.Alienware can give you a full experience on great quality.

Tech Problem: Audio Jacks: My audio jacks have recently stopped working. I thought at first it was my headphones, but then I tested them and they worked fine. The jacks just wouldn't recognize any set of headphones that went in them. Has anyone else had this problem, and if you have or if you know, can I get some advice on how to fix this?

For the skyrim issue, just try right clicking the laucnher and 'Run with graphics processer -> Nvidia high end processor' (something like that anyway)

anyone else have issues with Skyrim detecting the correct graphics card? no matter what I do it won't detect my nVidia card only the Intel basic one... any help would be appreciated!

♥, the Alienware m14x has a security feature in the battery. It is suppose to drop performance when unplugged. Now that's not saying it's a good thing, but at the moment, it's something you can not change.
You may be happy to know that earlier models had problems where unplugging the laptop while gaming would instantly shut off the laptop. After a recent bios update, the laptop underclocks itself when unplugged.
Like I said, the battery shutting off the system is a security feature for the battery itself.

im having an issue when i unplug my comp from the charger and game performance drops, i tried changing all the setting to max performance but it still doesnt fix anything, can someone help me?

Yo, letting you know that I fixed my problem with the Witcher, but now im having a problem with the Witcher 2. Everytime I try to launch the game, the preparing for launch window pops up for a split second then disappears and the game doesn't launch....Help

hey DIZ001, about your problem with the Witcher, apparently a recent driver update for the GT555M causes severe performance drop in The Witcher. At the moment the only thing to fix it is rollback the graphics driver, but you don't want to do that. It may cause some issues with the switchable graphics.
Soo.... i guess the only smart thing to do is to wait for Nvidia to release a graphics card update to fix it.

Yo, I'm having problems playing the Witcher Enhanced Edition, every time i start it up it says that i don't meet min. requirements, while Borderlands and BFBC2 run without any problems on the highest settings? Any advice?

Just finished Chapter 1 of the Witcher 2 on my 14x, playing on medium settings, but I do want to tweak a bit and see if I can get the 30+ fps I was reading about.
