Rust Legacy server

Hello everyone,

With a heavy heart, I must announce that this will be our final server wipe. For nearly a decade, LegionRust has been a home for Rust Legacy enthusiasts, and we will be commemorating our 10th anniversary this Christmas. It deeply saddens me to share that we must turn off this beautiful project.

As many of you know, I have struggled for several years to give this project the attention it deserves. This year, I made significant efforts to push us forward—seeking incorporation, obtaining a digital certificate, getting us on the Microsoft Defender / countless more antivirus allowlists and more. Regrettably, the challenges and costs associated with advertising today are substantial, often involving negotiations with management companies rather than creators themselves. Times have indeed changed, and maintaining this project has become an unsustainable financial burden for me.

When we launched with FShield in 2016, our singular goal was to create a fun, reliable server where people could enjoy this wonderful game safely. I believe we have achieved that mission. I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the people who made the past 10 years possible: Psycho, Spicy, Soda, and Flapstik — your contributions have created countless memories for everyone.

Looking back, it’s incredible to think I started this journey at 16, and now, as I near 30, it feels like a lifetime of experiences have passed (my goodness!).

Rest assured, we are backing everything up. Who knows—when I am super rich, we may just bring this back. 😅
