      <title>Achievement Unlocked: Not The End</title>
      <description>Hey everyone!&lt;br&gt;I am very happy to announce the second iteration of Lancer!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I was motivated to have another go at Lancer due to the lack of quality serious roleplay servers currently available to the small (and actively diminishing) Half-Life 2 Roleplay Community. Funnily enough, this is the same motivator as the one I had when creating my first Half-Life 2 Roleplay Server, Dissociative Roleplay, and the first iteration of Lancer. With the decay of big players such as Nebulous and the gradual shift of others towards a more Semi-Serious / RPG scene, Serious RP players are left with the choice of either abandoning the community for good or adapting to the new and evolving Semi-Serious scene.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We will be abandoning the port to Helix, and will instead be sticking with Clockwork. While Clockwork is considerably more outdated, harder to work with, and less performant than other Frameworks, it is a classic. It gives Half-Life 2 Roleplay the vibe that it requires to immerse somebody into the world. Of course, I could simply reskin Helix to look like Clockwork, but the biggest motivator for sticking with Clockwork is that it is done. There are a couple of changes that we wish to make, but the server is mostly ready, development-wise.       <title>Temporary Event Server</title>
      <description>Hello everyone.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Seeing how we still have a little ways ahead in regards to the port of our server to Helix as well as the addition of new roleplay and gameplay features, we have seen fit to re-purpose the main server. Given that it is not being frequented by anyone and is currently, plainly said, a waste of server funds, it will be changed into a temporary event server that we will use until our porting to Helix has concluded. This will allow us to keep you guys entertained while we undergo development once again, as well as allow us to 'beta-test' our plugins and systems inside a controlled environment before the big re-release. This new event server will be the host for all kinds of events, some being storylines, others being 'one-off' events, all created and managed mainly by the Event Team alone. Do note however that, in an effort to remove possible restrictions when it comes to event possibilities, many if not all of the events that will take place will &lt;i&gt;NOT &lt;/i&gt;be following our server's lore and canon.
