Mutation: Gun Hunt

Here is a mutation that puts a spin on Survival mode. You start with a pistol and medkit, all initial pickups are removed. Weapons and items spawn at random points at certain intevals, with the weapons only having a few clips of ammo. It's a lot like the scavenger game mode in Battlefield 3.

This feels a lot harder than regular survival, I can hardly last 3 minutes with bots.

Current issues:
Spawns don't get deleted after a wipe. None of the game events fire after they've been placed.
No good way of removing empty weapons (no known way of reading the ammo count).

Possible improvements:
Random spawns based on nav mesh. Would need an interface to the nav mesh.

Update 2013-03-11:
Untouched weapons now get removed when new spawn in.
Added particle effects on spawn and despawn.
Added special ammo and laser sights.
You now spawn with double pistols.
Increased ammo count on all guns.
Fixed several bugs.
Added support for three more maps.

Update 2013-04-12:

I have now added single use ammo boxes to the random spawn system (thanks for GiveAmmo()). They are implemented with named prop_physics entities that are scanned for with the player_use game event callback. I don't know any way of getting the bots to use them, but they get ammo when players pick it up instead.

It's slightly easier now, I can just about reatch 5 minutes.

Awesome job! Can't wait to test it! If you are on, we can play a round together.

Hehe, they give us a set function without a get. What a surprise, lol. This is why I ask for a get/set netprop function. We can do so much with it!

At least the ammo function adds to it instead of setting the absloute value.

Yeah, I'd definiely be up for a round sometime.
