Dead Line is an example campaign that show what goes into developing a map. I kinda gives mappers a place to start.. check it out.
With the 6/25 update, custom maps should be ready shortly.
Bind a key to join from a lobby!
Feel free to copy and paste these into your left 4 dead autoexec.cfg. =]
bind "F11" "ms_force_dedicated_server 67.159.7.2:27016" //[GU]imbullgod l4d #1 Server
bind "F12" "ms_force_dedicated_server 67.159.7.3:27015" //[GU]imbullgod L2D #2 Server
Now when you make a lobby you can either hit your newly bound key then start the search to direct the lobby to your specified server, or you can simply not hit the key at all and the search will find a random public server like normal! It's much easier to use this way, and you dont even have to open the console anymore using this!
Just hit the key and start!
