re: wall of text, apparently you need to open 'maxframes' with notepad++, then copy/paste into your 'autoexec.cfg' file in the TF2 folder. There should be some other instructions in the comments at the top of the cfg

PSA: If anyone is unaware of Chris's maxframes FPS (frames per second) config, I thought I would mention it here. Basically, it removes the graphical bells and whistles, and optimizes connection performance, to squeeze as many (consistent) frames out of TF2 as possible. If you are running on an old computer or a computer without a graphics card, or if you experience a lot of lag, the extra, consistent frames can really improve your gameplay. The latest version is available at http://chrisdown.name/tf2/ though it appears as one giant wall of text. I can copy/paste one that is in a more readable format. If anyone is interested and needs help installing it, I would be happy to assist.
