Ya , no problem . ICE worked fine for me for years and when it comes to Emulation, use whatever works for you. Personally, I ran into a road block with ICE when using emulators that require a subdirectory architecture. Then, the steam grid images started to break. That’s when I started working with the dev of SRM.

I just posted it since people want a download location.

I already added my emulator games, soo... yeah.

Well, ice still works for me. And its already setup. Don't need it.

ICE is dead in development my friend. You will have to find a fork of the program on GitHub and try it there .

Hello, my fellow Emulation community. I have been a long time user of ICE. The developer for ICE is no longer supporting the program as he has moved onto working for Facebook. There is a new program in development called Steam Rom Manager. SRM does everything ICE does and has a active developer. The program is in its very early stages and if you can teach yourself a little on how to run the program it has a great payoff. Its compatible with all emulators including CEMU. I have suggested more advanced features then ICE had and the developer integrated them very quickly. Enjoy!!

Is there anyway to override the artwork on the retro games? For instance, I have box art and 3D box art for my entire collection. Is there a way in ICE to override the banners that it goes and searches for when it adds games to the library?

Only asking because I haven't tried ICE just yet, but see a lot complaining about banners not showing up. For example, I use the Gamesome front end for android a lot. When it searches for artwork, tons are missing and I don't want to run into the same situation with ICE where there are tons I have to manually override one by one. I found what folder gamesome was storing artwork into and dropped all of mine in there and it works great.

Just wondering if there was a way to do something similar as I already have artwork for all of my games?

Oh, and I will be streaming steam/ICE to my Amazon firetv, so hence why I'm interested in using ICE to run everything stored on my computer. Thanks!

consolegrid.com seems to be screwed for a while now. I see lots of retro images that have dissapeared and the upload function is now broken.

I noticed that my customrom arguments have an extra quotes in them. I was experimenting with trying to deal with some bug pertaining to Nvidia's Game Stream and Big Picture Mode where the quotes wouldn't get passed, making Rom's with spaces in the name be unloadable. Just remove the quotes around %r and you should be good to go at least for Naomi ROM's.

Superpan21 I was trying to work on the same thing myself. For Naomi you need to use the following command:
command=%l -run=naomi -customrom=""%r"
-customrom is an arcade only parameter that seems to be takable by both Naomi and Atomiswave.

Unfortunately, doing the following Command:

command=%l -run=awave -customrom=""%r"

Doesn't seem to work. It is capable of detecting whether or not a zip/bin is there, but it does not actually launch the AtomisWave ROM. I have no clue what could be causing this.
The only command line I have been able to get working for Atomiswave is by manually specifying it via -rom command like so:

"demul.exe" -run=awave -rom "dolphin"


That only specifies the specific short name provided by Demul for in this Case "Dolphin Blue", which is pretty much useless for our purposes with ICE.
I haven't seen any other easy way about it other than if you really want to use ICE is to use Atomiswave ROM's which have been converted to run on the NAOMI BIOS.

I need help to run Atomiswave and Naomi games on Steam via Demul. The Atomiswave games are inexecutable when I put them on Steam. I need some answers! I've seen a Forum on how to run DC games on Steam via Demul, but what about Naomi and Atomiswave games?

Can't seem to get VBA-M working. Ice detects the program, but doesn't find the ROMs.

That rule, according to Wayback Machine, was added in early 2014, possibly due to complaints from Square Enix where people were comparing Final Fantasy re-releases with the Playstation versions running on emulators, embarrassing them.

Steam can detect use of such an app because when you start a Non-Steam game it broadcasts the title of the app in your profile.

Actually the moderators are looking into this one. The Steam rules at https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4045-USHJ-3810 specifically mention "Console emulators" and several publishers have (ab)used the rules in their forums, particularly Capcom and their Mega Man emulator.

@superrayas No chance at all whatsoever. It's not against the rules to use this and besides steam couldn't detect it in the first place.

Who can help me to configure "emulators.txt" for PSX (playstation 1). I try it for Resident Evil (.bin) and ICE add it but when i launched it from Big Picture see only the "epsxe" screen.
I hope someone help me.
