hopefully something happens in a month or two... at the moment its looking like anti-cheat starts becoming functional in a couple months hopefully when the major ends as usually grand final will be the first highly viewed event breaking records that any other cs2 tourney has held. Honestly not expecting an operation despite leaks of 29th febuary releasing operation dragon.

I feel like unbans will happen like by march, april, may or even june its feeling like :/ thats being optimistic

RMR event is soon, hopefully valve get their shit together likely will be a lot of new players meaning more false bans

it will be either soon in the next few days, or a unban in a a few weeks or months

Valorant is doing really well recently they have been pushing the envelope with their anticheat going hard at DMA/hardware cheats which are some of the hardest to detect that cs2 will probably never be able to detect at its current state. Also the transparency from valorant is what is nice too. CS2 is just lagging behind, banning legitimate players, not banning cheaters and not providing a quality gaming experience. If riot were to introduce a 5v5 gamemode with no abilities, would probably bring in so much cs players

the most likely date is the 27th, as it will mark exactly 3 months since CS2's release

adding to my theory a bit, the premier season should end between january and march. it's most likely that they will start a new premier season on january 1st. The reason why they would do a ban wave between dec 24th-january 1st, they need to remove the cheaters from leaderboard and end the season appropriately with all legit players on the leaderboard.

It sucks definitely downfall of CS2, sad part is false bans are becoming a norm, evident by other popular games like cod, and valorant

False bans have been a big issue since the launch of CS2 whether that is m_yaw, high dpi or other unknown reasons. My thoughts currently on why they implemented such measures in the first place. So firstly, CS2 currently has no anti-cheat which is due to specifically CSGO Legacy as they both share the same root directory, this makes an anti-cheat like VAC not be able to scan things properly like game memory and game file directory. This could be also why they didn't release any new content like skins as it could conflict with the CSGO legacy version. So when will they add new content and anti-cheat? The answer is when CSGO legacy is unsupported. They will then possibly add new content, implement a working anti-cheat that would still ban people that previously cheated due to collecting demos of matches. Once that is all set and done, we should see them patching high dpi, m_yaw and other reasons that we haven't discovered yet. Then we should see unbans hopefully.
