World of Rust - The BIG dev update 03/11/2016

Goodmorning folks, its been a while!

After much thought the owner has decided to employ the Oxide mod onto the server to offer some small tweaks that we think will give players a little bit more flexibility. In addition to our customised stackizes we now have a 1.5x gather rate. We feel this offers a similar vanilla challenge with a little bit more help for solo and casual players. The server will be updated after the Dev wipe tonight promptly, and we are looking forward to the new Component All system, the new workshop factory and a host of exciting new features!

The owner is a player like you who just wants to create a 'safe haven' for players who just want to play the game and get on with it. After having seen numerous instances of player/admin/mod abuse in other servers - and some official third party servers - (who shall not be named) we are, frankly, sick and disgusted at the scope of some of the advantages that have been taken up and dished out by unscrupulous individuals who are put in charge of policing the integrity of the server.

It is in this spirit that we offer you a simple, no frills (well, not much) server which allows you to come and play safe in the knowledge that we hate cheaters and abusers just as much as you. We keep an eye on each players game violations and take action accordingly.

We appreciate each single player that comes onto the server, heck we wouldnt keep the server running without you guys! We are not professional mod hosters, we are normal guys with day jobs who like to come home and chill out, maybe with a beer or two :D That being said, we are very experienced with the Oxide plugin system and can implement plugins very easily and quickly, so if there is something that you players would like to see in a next update, please drop the owner a message in the steam group.

Let me finish my saying we are all very excited for the dev update tonight, and cant wait to get in the game and start all over fresh. We salute all our players and look forward to seeing you again in the World of Rust.

Wipe Day !

Hello all,

So its wipe day again. We will be moving to a new map and also decreasing the size back to the default 4k size as the 6k was just too big. This should make things a bit more 'cosy' for our players and increase player interaction.

The update itself looks to be a huge one - with the overhauled graphics presentation, reworked bone armor, updated maps and dungeon art, and more! head over to http://www.rustafied.com/ for more information.

Hi Guys.

It was evident to us that the map is far too big for our player base. So this thursday we will be wiping everything and decreasing the map back to 4k hopefully this will be a good mix of size and players.

Thought I would get this part of the update out of the way early, so you can roam the map and get a feel for it before the DEV WIPE hits later tonight.

Its 6k now, so is a lot bigger than the last map.

Dev wipe Thursday 4th August

Good afternoon folks,

Okay so as most of you know its wipe week!

The XP levels will wipe (helps new players and increase new player cycles) and along with the usual plethora of updates and new items, we will also be getting a new and bigger map. I have added the url to the new map below so you can have a look and plan where you will want to make your new bases;

We have gone from a 4k to a 6k map so its quite an increase. In addition to a lot more new areas to explore, we will also see the return of the AIRFIELD.

Expect the wipe around 20:00 to 21:00 GMT, as usual I will keep you posted on the progress.

Lastly I wanted to create some type of event where the winner will get their image on the server login banner for one month. I havent decided yet but I may include the top ten players with longest time spent on the server, and see if we can do a one time battle royale or something. Watch this space.

SERVER OUTAGE 27/07

I have received the following message from Gameservers.com;

IMPORTANT: Your server is currently offline!
We have detected an outage with your server and are currently working to resolve this issue. During this time, server stops, restarts, and reinstalls are disabled. Server crashes are generally solved within 30 minutes and extended mass outages will be reported via the members area alert system.
