@Icky: Monks are pretty fun I think, and obviously it helps that you can heal people (if you're willing to anyway) so it's easier to get in groups. Or, if you don't like healing all that much, you can always do some pretty good damage with smiting prayers, and it's pretty nice to have options like that.

Also, in case anybody gives a ♥♥♥♥, apparently my favorite elite skill that I rant about a bunch is called Spiteful Spirit and not Mark of Pain. Not sure how I got those 2 names mixed up (hurf durf) but yeah Spiteful Spirit rapes anus to the max.

If anybody's starting up a new character in Prophecies let me know so we can group for quests and stuff. I started a monk/ritualist in Factions but I want to play Prophecies again since it seems more fun that way if you're starting a new character (or at least to me it is).

That doesn't mean I'm abandoning my monk or anything though so I'm also up to group for various quests & missions in Factions.

The way I see is if anybody ends up not liking the 3 campaigns that much for whatever reason, it's only $20 and there's no subscription fee either.

I mean what reasons has he got to be unsure he wants to buy it? he might not want to part with the cash which is fine and understandable in the end though its really up to him his cash his decision.

I've got a capped Monk, Necro, Warrior, Dervish, Assassin, and Ritualist with access to every skill outside the Eye of the North expansion for anyone needing some help.

Max is level 20 and it's balls easy to reach. Then you just pick the skills you want and play.
I haven't really played all that long, but there really seems to be zero grind.

By grindfest, you mean doing each run over and over again, there isn't a game that isn't like that.

Each run is very different and diverse though, and you don't spend your time mindless killing. Instead, at the endgame stuff, the creeps are so tough you're gonna have to stay on your toes in order to stay alive.

So it's not like Korean MMO status grind.

question: is this game a total grindfest (for pve)?

my char is Funk I. playing the first campaign

I made a monk named Wyx Broham in the Factions campaign, and I'll probably be going heals for the most part, but we'll see. I'm sure I'll make at least a few alts as well at some point.

Also I probably won't be on for a day or 2 (going to play some SSF4 at a friend's house all day ♥♥♥♥ year) just in case anybody wonders why I might be MIA for no reason after joining the group on the first day.
