Myths and lies about the Trinity.

Trinity is one of the most important concepts in Christianity. It's crucial to understand it. Because if you don't believe in the Trinity - you simply don't understand and know the Bible and you aren't even a Christian.

Myth #1: the Trinity is polytheistic.

WRONG. We believe in One True God - the Creator of all things, not three different Gods. One God in three Persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We should always remember that we are talking about GOD, He exists in a very unique way, not like His creatures. That's why we can't find anything in our material world that resembles this concept.

But just because we can't see it or fully understand it doesn't mean it isn't true. Many scientific discoveries that are normal and understandable to us today may have sounded mind-blowing and unbelievable a thousand years ago. We should strive to understand God more deeply with His help, of course, and not reduce His uniqueness to our primitive human level just because we can't understand something with our limited minds.

Myth #2: the Trinity is the Church Age invention.

WRONG. The concept of the Trinity may be explained more deeply by the Church, but as God exists for eternity, so does the Blessed Trinity. We can CLEARLY see the Trinity throughout the Old Testament.

In fact, ancient Jews had a concept known as the "Two Powers in Heaven" - essentially a binitarian view (two Persons who are one God). They believed in that concept, because of verses like Zechariah 2:8-10, Genesis 19:24, etc.

Few Examples (There are many more in the Old Testament):

Genesis 19:24:
Then the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ) rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ) out of the heavens.

the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ) rained brimstone...from the Lord (Yᵊhōvâ) out of the heavens.

Here we have two Persons of the one Lord (Yᵊhōvâ), present in different places at the same time.

Isaiah 48:16:
Come near to Me, hear this:
I have not spoken in secret from the beginning;
From the time that it was, I was there.
And now the Lord God and His Spirit
Have sent Me
.”

We simply can't ignore the fact that GOD is speaking and GOD said that GOD AND HIS SPIRIT HAVE sent HIM (GOD). We can only explain this passage through the Trinity concept. With the knowledge of the Trinity, Isaiah 48:16 becomes clear and understandable.

Psalm 110:
A Psalm of David.
1 The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
2 The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

We should keep the context in mind. This is a psalm of DAVID. There weren't ANY human beings whom David could call "my Lord" - David could only refer to God Himself in this way. So yet again, we clearly see at least two Persons of God here. "GOD said to my GOD".

Psalm 45:
6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

Have a great time interpretating this whole psalm without the concept of the Trinity.

Isaiah 9:6:
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The Messiah - our Lord Jesus Christ - Wonderful, Councelor, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, Prince of Peace. Clearly, the Messiah is God Himself.

Zechariah 2:8-11:
8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
9 For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me.
10 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord.
11 “Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.

Now follow me through this: THE LORD OF HOSTS (GOD) said: HE sent ME. ->

Who can send GOD? Obviously - nobody ->

(Still LORD OF HOST is speaking): Then you will know that THE LORD OF HOSTS has sent ME. ->

So, the Lord of hosts has sent the Lord of hosts... I mean, how much more obvious should it be that God exists and operates in a very unique way?

Myth #3: the Trinity is an ancient pagan concept.

WRONG. First of all, Christianity is a fully MONOTHEISTIC RELIGION because the only One worthy of worship is God Himself - the Creator of all things. All Christians worship one God. The Creator of all things, Who has revealed Himself as Triune God. So, Christianity has nothing to do with paganism.

Enemies of Christianity use lies to throw shade on our faith. But now, with a simple studing of their examples, we can clearly see that they either don't understand what they are talking about or or are deliberately manipulating things to target uneducated in faith Christians.

The funny thing is that all examples they use are just simply TRIADS ->
Three distinct, separate "gods" / beings, each with their own will - three different wills and essenses, all joined together in some form of unity.
That is the complete opposite of the Holy Trinity ->
One God - one will and one essence, Who exists in three Persons.

Their classic examples:

I won't go deeply into describing each of these "gods" (too much text) but rather just show you the main differences.
Osiris, Isis, Horus - the Osirian Triad - three different gods in unity.

They are totally different in essence. "god" Osiris and "goddess" Isis (a sister of Osiris) are both children of other "god" - Geb. They (Osiris and Isis) birthed "god" Horus... It's just a primitive inc*est family-like unity. Nothing even remotely close to the Trinity concept (One God exists in three Persons).

Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva - Trimurti - three different gods in unity.

This isn't One God, rather, it's three different "gods" in one (trimurti). They are all worshipped separately, well because... they are different beings. Christians worship only ONE GOD in essence. No Christian has ever thought to worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ separately as two different "beings" because that would be a huge blasphemy. But "gods" from trimurti are worshipped as three seperate beings, each one worshipped differently from one another.

Interesting historical fact: "Mahapuranas" (puranic texts), in which trimurti was developed, were compiled around 300-1200 AD, and the most importantly they were REWRITTEN and EDITED throughout history, as researchers state. So, not only did the trimurti concept appear around the 300s AD (300 years AFTER Christianity and more than a thousand years after the Trinity appeared in the Old Testament), but it was likely edited during the time when Christianity was already a one of the world's biggest religion.

So in short, the Trinity concept already existed for CENTURIES! before texts about trimurti even appeared. So there is no possible way that Christians somehow "stole" trimurti concept. It could be actually the opposite, hindus might have redacted the Trinity concept with their own "gods" without understanding its crucial basics. Why do I think this way? Because the Gospels were already preached in Indian lands by Thomas the Apostle in 52 AD! long before trimurti even appeared as we are already learned.

So anybody who tells you that Christians "stole" trimurti concept is rather a weak-minded or has snakish (devilish) spirit, because not only is trimurti totally different from the Trinity but it's also historically impossible for Christians to "stole" it.

Plus, an interesting thing is that at least two "gods" (Shiva and Vishnu) from trimurti are the devil and the beast. Shiva has a lot in common with Baphomet - probably the same demonic being, just behind different names.

I am not going to analyze every triad in existence, because I think you got the point. There is NOWHERE besides Christianity that has anything similar to the Blessed Trinity. Either it is a triad (three different "gods" in one unity, sometimes this unity doesn't even make sense, like in the case of trimurti), or a polytheistic wannabe version of the Trinity AFTER the true Trinity was already revealed by God Himself in the Bible.

So case closed. One of the mysteries of the True Triune God, the Creator of everything, was openly revealed only in the Bible.
