I remember SiN guild and KoS as well. I remember a guy named Chris the Avatar who had a badass castle on Ice Island (the one with Deceit dungeon). I followed him home one day in ghost form and spied on one of their guild meetings. It was epic.

So I played on Great Lakes a long time ago, my named was "ogre" and my brother's name was "Judas Cloud." It was around 1998 to early 2000s and I remember things like Kazola's Treetop Winery between Yew and the moongate as well as the ShadowClan Orcs. Some guild names too like SiN and KoV, I guess it's been over 20 years since those days!

This will be an extremely populated shard maintained by developers whom have worked on the most populated freeshards in the past. Keep an eye out and check us out for future updates. I'd have to pass. UO had its moment in the spot light, but the freeshards just aren't worth coming back for.

Its an AOS ran professionally and is growing pretty quickly in numbers of players, peaking at 200.

It has so many fixes to the old game and so many new enhanced features.

Definitely needs to be something tried out for any old UO fan.

Also, is Chris the Avatar anywhere to be seen on this forum? I HATED that guy! (Mainly because he was so good. He owned a castle on Ice Island which I used to infiltrate as a ghost in order to spy on his guild meetings *we were at war*). Such good times.

Is anyone else concerned that pre-patch UO on GL server broke their gaming experiences for life? It was kind of like having a sweet, kind supermodel as your first girlfriend, not realizing how good you had it until you started seeing all those trashy girls in college.

I'm 31 now, married, a beautiful daughter, 2 dogs, and a mortgage, and I still find myself listening to the UO music channel on YouTube at least a few times a week. And watching the same UO videos over and over, trying to relive the glory in some small manner.

UO broke my ability to enjoy video games, I mean *really* enjoy, in that adrenaline-pumping, I'm going to go mine green ore and smelt it and make armor and feel proud wearing it around town sort of way. They simply don't make them like they used to.

I fear I will never love another game quite the same... even after 16 years, I have clearly not moved on.

I'm lead admin of a new AoS freeshard that is currently in development.

UO Shadow Age

First, I would like to say this team is one of the most professional team in all of UO Freeshards.

We currently have 7 staff members, including 2 professional developers and 1 professional web developer.

All 7 of us will be available in game for help around the clock.


We will be launching our permanent forum in a week to start the hype process and help us get in touch with our community and hear their suggestions.

We have some great systems planned including a COMPLETELY revamped Guild System with guild levels, treasuries, and perks, to help guilds play together and stay playing much longer. An achievement system that will actually immerse the player into the game more than other servers attempts. We also have some housing changes planned as well.

This will truly be the greatest AoS (Felucca ONLY) freeshard around.

We will keep you all posted.

Jenova here, played mostly around 99-03. Played with several of the top guilds over the years, my best memories were with D-I towards the end of ren. Sup Elric. Also had some brief stints in FS!, ZT, GoD, and later ressurected an offshoot of D-I, DaB that I ended up running throughout pub16. I remember almost everyone in this thread. Really miss pcgaming.cc, no one could ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quite like we could. Anyone remember Sang's mustang? Dissapointed to see IPY3 cancelled as I was hoping to see some old faces on there... UO will never die, there will never be another like it.
