First thank you all for showing up yesterday! Seeing the servers filled up for a last time was worth the drought in the past two years. So again and again, thanks you for showing up even if it was just for a couple of rounds!

We recorded parts of the events (mostly #1 and #4) and I will release a compilation of it here for those who missed it and for those like myself looking back on it sometime from now.

Today is the last time to exchange your gold into TF2 items! I also lift the 5 items per day limitation. So get the stuff while you can for the very last time!

The last two days of WOBRE are upon us. We celebrate together with current and old staff. I also refill the Gold store with some items for the last run on Monday!

Also two days of "Catch That Gift (Special Edition)" with special edition drops:

* ED-E Gifts (rare - max. 8)

Monday 30.12 - Lets play together one more time!

Whenever you have time, join our events and lets roam WOBRE for the last time! On monday every two hours from 14:00 on forward, we will have an event on different servers which the last will be at 20:00 on WOBRE#1.

Hey everyone,

As you all know, the unfortunate shutdown of the servers is happening soon.
After this event the steam group will turn into a wasteland. Some of you might still be interested to keep in touch with other Wobre members *cough* excluding the farmers *cough*. And the best way to do this is via Discord!
Wobre will not completely seize to exist since a small part of the community + its name will continue to live on as a Discord gaming community server. (And who knows, maybe special servers for other games might ever appear)

I'll keep it short:
The TF2 WOBRE servers will shutdown with the new year arriving. We will make some special events leading into the last two days, where I hope some of you join for few rounds for the very last time. I will be there too.

As of now:
* Everyone who joins as of now gets a free 30 WOBRE+ days.
* I added some items to the lottery.

Hi WoBros and Sistas,

As not unusual around this time, where school starts, a couple of people retire from the WOBRE staff this time it’s some from the class of 2017.

Team Changes:

Fred (MOD from #3 since August 2017) and Iryia (MOD for Deathrun since Mai 2017, later taking care of it as Admin) retired. Also Pootvich who initially retired in 2017 but came back later (…or was he never gone?). All of them contributed to WOBRE in their own special way, they will be missed but not forgotten. Which makes me think we should have a Hall of Fame of all past staff members.

ERROR did gud and is now MOD-T2 and Spoiper was interested to take over #2 thus becomes admin there.

And one more change, after 8 years of taking care for TF2 WOBRE, I’m taking a noticeable step back from it. I’m not completely gone though, since the servers run within my environment. I’m still around and will help the staff to implement new things or fix stuff, so smaller bugfixes will still happen. However I won’t work on bigger updates (like the Summer updates) in my freetime anymore.

So no more updates then?

As you have seen in the past, there are always more people working on those updates than me, especially in recent announcements. FF2 is updated completely without any input from my side since years. I worked also in recent months to make other things easier for our admins. A “WOBRE Cosmetics” update could now happen completely without me, since no plugin scripting would be needed anymore. #1#2#3#4#6 can be updated without me. With #5 and #7 I have to do a small update to make it also completely scriptfree (since WvM/MvM Season Tickets needs a little scripting). Also putting pre-existing plugins or mods onto a server could be done without having to rely on me. I cannot forsee the future though, if the staff wants to makes smaller or bigger updates is now mostly up to them.

How long will the servers continue to run?

I let our team/community try out things and make updates on their own as long as they are interested in. For 2019 we might be safe.

What I will do in the future?

It’s not really nailed down, I have a few ideas and will see what sticks, like TF2 did that for a long time.

Just a short notice,

Due the rocky start of the new Slender Fortress and WOBRE vs. Machine we extend yesterdays "Catch That Gift" for this two servers.

Slender #2 update.
AloXii and DJeuchim also added new and/or improved maps to Slender.
We are still working out bugs of the update, mainly for Slender.

"CATCH THE !" minigame (only today)

Everytime the lottery is finished, shortly afterwards a gift will spawn somewhere on the map for 45 seconds before it's gone again. When you catch it, you are in for a surprise. WOBRE+ members have a chance that it drops better contracts. Non WOBRE+ members are limited to normal contracts and items worth less than 3 refs.

Every 2-15 minutes it will spawn a gift on the map if there are at least 5 people alive and activly playing ingame. The more people the shorter the spawn time.

CATCH THAT Gift will work on all WOBRE servers expect Deathrun and MvM (will work for now on WOBRE vs. Machines!).

What could be in the gift package?
* WOBRE Contract.
* WOBRE Cosmetic item.
* WOBRE Keyless Cosmetic crate.
* WOBRE Keyless Custom Models crate.
* WOBRE+ 30 Days Membership.
* WOBRE's Random TF2 item from the GOLD Store.
* ED-E's Gift (max. 8) *RARE*

What is ED-E's gift?
If you catch up upon one and activate it, you can choose between six gifts:
* TF2 Item: ED-E signs a surprise TF2 item for your favourite class!
* Weapon Sign: ED-E signs two of your favorite items!
* Steam Game: ED-E chooses a surprise random indie STEAM game for you.
* WOBRE+: 90 days WOBRE+ Membership.
* Keyless Crates: 5x WOBRE Keyless Crates.
* MvM: 10x WOBRE MvM Tickets.

"WOBRE vs. Machine" minimod (beta)

In "Mann vs. Machine", you defend against a horde of robots.
In "Stop That Tank!" you can side with the robots.
In "WOBRE vs. Machines" we strike back!

With a small group of mercenaries (7 on BLU) you regain occupied areas from Grey Manns robots (20 on RED). However they are in the vast majority so you and your guys will lose ...a lot. However to help your cause you and your team gain money. Money you can use to upgrade your mercaneries via the UberUpgrades shop.

Gamemode:

* Fight against robots on 4 maps in classic gamemodes (Controlpoint, Payload and King of the hill).
* A Boss will appear on the last King of the Hill map.

Helping mods:
* Uber Upgrades Mod (see video here).
* You will always loose the first round but you will gain enough money on the way that on the second or third try you can beat the robots.
* Grapplehook enabled
* Medic shield (!shield in game)

Other stuff
* Wobre vs Machine Tickets (every map regained currently acts like you won Expert on MvM, might change later).
* New Booster: WOBRE vs Machines - Enhanced BLU Helper Bots (better bots on BLU with fast respawn).
* BLU Helper bots will show the names of WOBRE players (with BOT before). If someone is uncomfortable with that, let me know.

Known bugs:
* Painted weapons / Australium seem not to work with Uber Upgrades.

WOBRE#7 - Mann vs. Machines Season 6 - Storm Area 51!

While the whole word is storming Area 51, our soldier misread the memo and now the mercenaries storming Area 52 instead. But with their dumb luck they found a new trace to Grey Manns base there.
