So a few people have informed me that the timer on the server was broken. My bad. I'll go back to the old fashioned way. We're fixing bugs all day today and starting episode 1 tomorrow at 21:00 GMT. If you haven't already, create a character on the forums and join a faction!

And for the details. For those curious, episode 1 focuses on the arrival of PAID to Panau. After the assassination of Panau's new president (and his fill-in when he crashed during his speech), NATO ramps up its policy and deploys a joint force to the island while the reapers step up to defend. We'll be light on official events, but there will be one this friday.

It's official! Chris Sundberg, Director of Avalanche Studios, has just announced that Avalanche has been working on Just Cause 3 and is planning to release in 2015!

On a side note, Just Cause 2 and DLC now 80% off!

FC Forums Up and Running!

That's right folks - we're not dead!

Not only are we not dead, but we've been working on plenty of wonderous things. The first of those is up and running right now, even as you read this smoothly written PR piece.

The FC forums are live and you can visit them and sign up right now. You can find them at http://firstclassgaming.net/.

Now I could tell you the forums are the greatest work of man since the Sistine Chapel. I could tell you how many hours the team[firstclassgaming.net] spent crafting each pixel from stone. None of those things would be true, but the forums are still pretty nice and well worth checking out.

So let's get this show on the road.

Still alive, and looking for faction leaders!

We're breaking radio silence to let you know that we are looking for a couple of faction leaders to start off the server with. Anyone can apply to be a leader of the Reapers or Ulars factions now in the forums. No previous faction leadership experience necessary, but if you'd like to be a faction leader you should be mature, be a good RPer, and be able to be active on the server. You can apply for the Reapers position here[firstclassgaming.net], or the Ular Boys position here[firstclassgaming.net]. Registering for the forums is as simple as linking your steam account, no email necessary.

We also need help with another task. I've been working to develop a cohesive canon and lore to use as a jumping-off point. When there are ambiguities in the story (or when the story simply doesn't exist), people spend more time arguing over what the date is or whether or not Pandak Panay is still alive than actually roleplaying! This is the reason we have implemented the database. Accessible from the MOTD, it provides information on characters, events, and locations in an IC format. (screenshot here). If you'd like to help expand the database, see this thread[firstclassgaming.net].

Finally, I'm going to be more active in posting update threads in the forum, so if you haven't already registered now's the time.

Live scripting event 07 and 08 – 16th May 17:00 GMT/17th May 17:00 GMT

Announcing the seventh and eighth in a series of live scripting events designed to allow future players to come and test out features on the FirstClass role play server.

Live scripting events are an opportunity for future players (and anyone who's interested) to come along and see our developers add and develop new features as you wait. What we would like you to do, as well as enjoy yourself, is to see what you think of these features and let us know if they work as expected.

Once again we have two LSEs; one on Friday and one on Saturday. Friday's LSE is going to cover DB issues, an augmented chat system, a server welcome screen, the faction panel and some work on the admin panel. Saturday's LSE is going to cover a refresh of the HUD code, the faction GUI, some more work on the admin panel as well as work on integration with the forums.

So come and get yourself some FC action with these LSEs. The first one is on Friday 16th May at 17:00 GMT, and the second is on Saturday 17th May at 17:00 GMT.
