Honestly if you are looking to play DayZ get the mod and play epoch. Standalone pales in comparison to the original mod and it's variants.

DayZ seems to have a really steep learning curve and is glitchy as ♥♥♥♥ . Regret wasting $30 on it. It's games like that that really ruin the whole Early Access thing.

I've already had 10 hours of insane fun out of Rust and have barely scratched the surface - still running around mostly nude with a retarded pipe shotgun that I crafted out of wood and stones. Also my wang is exactly the average size.

Mmm not too sure about Arma 3 and a DayZ mod but I could have a chat to a few friends who do play it and see what the story is. But yeah the Arma 2 DayZ mod + Epoch (or whatever it's become now, it's been a while) are really good.

im surpirsed no one has mentioned arma 3 yet. it costs more but you can get loads of mods like day z i think. anyone got it and have an opinion?

Get Rust. DayZ is rubbish (unless of course you're talking about DayZ Epoch, which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome), but the DayZ standalone is going nowhere. Check out http://playrust.com to see how much work is being put into the Rust development. Things are moving quickly, whereas with DayZ, they're trying to port to PS4. WTF?!? A game that isn't even nearly finished. Makes me sad. I used to love DayZ.

Well I think there are two camps in FC right now...there are some guys that play DayZ and some guys getting to Rust. I think if you ask either bunch you will get a different answer!

Pencil, Padlock, HyJuu and myself have been playing Rust this week and getting into it - lots of fun to be had in there with us building a giant skyscraper and dreaming of being the world police...

BUT I think DayZ would also be awesome...and I think both games are as buggy as eachother...so....I guess you have a decision to make!

This group is for members of the FC team and the general public to stay in touch and chat about Insurgency (or whatever) and keep up with the latest FC news.

Being invited to the GROUP is not the same as being invited to be a member of the TEAM.

If you are in the team, you will appear in the list of 'Current Staff' in the Business Plan - those guys get to wear the tags.
