Today the Duke of Kurland has Announced his plans for the construction of a great Highway that goes toward Riga to the North, Gdansk in the west, Kiev in the South, as well as the the Capital of the Commonwealth Warsaw. This is to creat a more unified way of travel through our major cities in the Commonwealth as well to increase trade and make the moving of people easier. The Highway will start in Mitau (capital of Kurland) and progress to the major cities of the Nation.

People of the Commonwealth, as you may know we are in troubled times and the Polish Commonwealth has gone through my transformations to what it is today. A particular thorn that has been in our side for many years is Austria. Recently we declared peace with them but to our surprise the heathens declared war upon our friends in Venice. We warned them once to step down and twice again to stop advancing upon Venice but they did not listen. We warned them that should they intend to go on with their invasion we will attack, they did not listen. We warned them that if they attempt to cross the border of Venice then we shall attack Austria with more force than ever before, they did not listen.

The Ignorance of this Franz Joseph is disgusting! He underestimates us and thinks that the Commonwealth is not strong, he thinks that we are not powerful but my god he is wrong! We defeated him once and we shall do so again! We shall march on and help our friends in Venice and we shall liberate them from the Austrians and perhaps even one day Venice may replace Austria in it's glory, prestige and might!

The Austrians have gone too far and they shall face the consequences of their actions. And we will make sure that they never forget the day they said "No" to the Commonwealth Empire!

While Our Brothers go Fight the Tyranny of the Austrians namely the honorable Royal Field Hetman Boralius nuz Frezreich. As his brother Ignacy nuz Frezreich, I will be looking after the tribal affairs of the Ruthenians while we gain our full and complete Victory. I also sent a majority of my forces around 75-80% to help Boralius in the fight.

As the war with Austria is only new the threat form the Austrian dogs could not be any greater.

Which is why in these events the Hetman of Belarus has seen it fit to raise 5 new Hussar regiments to aid Royal Hetman Boralius in his conquest of Austria. Aswell as 6 veteran regiments that will stand against the vollys of the Austrians. May these men with the grace of god, trumph over the Austrians.

At the order from Prince Heinrich, a fourth of Gdansks regiments have been sent to fall in behind the banner of the Commonwealth to fight the Austrian menace.

"Under the Commonwealth, our city is blessed to have certain un-alienable privileges won through hard work and toil.

When the Commonwealth that allows us these privileges marches to war, our Princedom must be ready to shoulder the burden alongside the others. Though our total forces may be small, we are good Pomeralian men. We'll defend our country as we would our city in this time of war, and drive back the Austrians from a sister trade city, Venice.

To that purpose, I have ordered a full fourth of our military capacity, and a majority of our non-garrisoned cannons to meet up with the army under the command of the Hetman of Ruthenia.

They will serve for a year, and in that year we will pray that they help secure victory for our beloved Commonwealth."


So saying, Prince Heinrich presented the first of the regiments to go meet the Ruthenian Hetman with a specially tailored flag, with the coat of arms of the city itself in the center.
