Several of ya'll have asked for an updated (downloadable) map. I've added that to the Google Drive link below and messaged several of you. You can also view the map in game if you have Ago's Client side mod (it adds capability to your personal Wurm installation).

More mods added! We keep growing.

Wow, big updates today First, we have a second GM who is helping me, Hypnos. His main player character is McWidow if you need him.

I've made several changes. Some you all are aware of, some are new today.

First, in the last few months I've added Bdew's better farming mod. Read about it here: https://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/138254-released-bdew-server-mods-new-mod-fishy-tweaks-updated-apr-09/

Second, i've added the voting mod. After voting (you can vote once a day), type /vote in the Wurm chat window and you'll be rewarded 10 copper. Head to this site to vote: https://wurm-unlimited.com/server/5367/

Third, I completely changed the bounty mod. I have no idea how this new one will work, so you all will have to tell me what you think. We no longer have to worry about whether a mob is in the underlying coding - this bounty mod calculates on all mobs and should give better rewards based on difficulty, age, etc.

Fourth, I've modified the Treasure Map mod. My hope is this change will make the underlying treasure spawn nearer to you, but we'll need to test that and make further adjustments as needed.

Fifth, I've added the rift altar mod. Once I put a rift altar down, you'll be able to sacrifice items and build power and eventually summon rift creatures. Why does this matter? Good experience, good bounty, and a challenge for high level fighters - BUT, the best part is you can get rift materials (including crystals) which you need to build portals between deeds (they have to be connected by highways, it's another Bdew mod).

Sixth, I've also added an event mod, that if it works will allow you to teleport from your settlement token to the site of a GM led event. We'll have to test it.

Seventh, i have a new dungeon mod. I have a lot of work to do to test that, so we'll go into depth on that later. Just know it's coming at some point!

Server back up!

Well, i'll say that was a learning experience. I have the server back up now!
Originally, i tried to run it as a linux headless. Apparently, i'm not good at linux so I moved back to Windows. I've noticed that sometimes the server isn't showing up in the main server login window (where you select server to log into via WU). I think that's because the computer was going to sleep but i've disabled that now. Let me know if you all encounter any issues and happy wurming!

PS -> i'll be traveling extensively with work next week and will be out of pocket Tuesday until Friday evening. Just an FYI.

Migrating server - 10/20/19

Hey folks!

I continue to pay for a hosted server and well, it adds up over time. I know a lot of you like to take "Wurm breaks" so I haven't seen as many folks on recently. I decided that this would be a good time to work on migrating Emerald Expanse from the hosted server it's on to the server I've built and intend to host at home. It has more resources than our hosted server, so my hope is we'll all see an improvement in game play. I have gig speed on my home internet connection, so there should be minimal impact from that standpoint too.

It will take me a while to get things migrated over. If you have questions, or concerns, please hit me up on here or emeraldexpanse@gmail.com.

We're fully updated to Wurm Unlimited Version 1.9.1.6 - I'd love to hear about you all's experiences with some of the new changes, especially in fishing. All of our mods have been updated and so far I have not seen any issues. If you encounter one, please let me know personally or post on our server bug thread (under discussion).

There's lots of suggestions for next steps for the server and I'm working through the feedback you all have been giving. One of the first things I need to figure out is getting an online map up (that stays constantly updated) for you all to review.

I also wanted to give you all a heads up that i'll be out of town starting this afternoon until probably Sunday evening. I did a server restart this morning, so everything should be good for weekend play. I do have access to Steam mobile so ping me if anything comes up. Have a great weekend!

Hey y'all:

Sorry for a slight delay but i didn't have time to mess with the update till this weekend - updates require updating several of the mods (and always the mod loader for the server itself) and it's time consuming for me.

I had a lot of trouble with this recent update but realized it's because you have to use the BETA version of Ago's mod loader for this new Wurm version (basically, .39 beta). I got everything to work except i'm getting a severe error with the treasure hunter mod. I left it up because it didn't cause a crash but if you experience any problems treasure hunting let me know (preferably by messaging me on Steam). I've notified the person who keeps the mod updated about my error and hopefully he can point me in the right direction or plan a future update.

His thread on Wurm Unlimited Mods indicated he was going through a rough point in his life personally so it might be a minute. Sindusk is the person who maintains that mod now. Wishing him the best during this time!

On vacation until Saturday, July 7th

I'll be out of town for vacation until July 7th. Where we are going doesn't have internet access; however, i may be able to connect to the router at one of the houses near us. So, I may or may not be online.

Don't worry though, because recently I made Scub a GM. His GM name is BeanzMcgee and he can help you out if you get stuck or anything.

If anything else comes up, shoot an email to the GM email address and i'll see what i can do! Thanks everyone and have a happy fourth of July!

Updated to 1.6.3.2 and a few other changes

I've updated the server to the newest version, 1.6.3.2. I also added the highway portal system mod as it sounds pretty cool and will help folks cross vast distances. You still have to connect the two deeds via highway but this will allow portals to be built between. For instance, this will help get from Wetmeer to the starter town (spawn) easily.

I also added an NPC trader. I've explained the limitations of traders in other threads, but this was added by popular vote. Please let me know if you have any questions.
