Feathers Will Fly League - FFA Each Thursday Night

Hey all,

First of all I want to give a shout out to QuackOut for hosting some great tourneys. While I was not able to be a part of them due to other weekend obligations, I enjoyed watching the games and the rankings.

That said... I would like your input on what you would like to see from the Thursday night (10:00 EST start time) Feathers Will Fly league. I am creating this as I have had the pleasure of playing many great free-for-all matches with highly skilled players, and wish to have an environment for the entire community to experience the joy of getting dunked on by friendly competition. I aim to create an environment that is welcoming to newbies and veterans alike, with the spirit of enjoying the game at the core of the league.

The first one will be held Thursday, July 21st. This will be considered the alpha-test - don't expect perfection. The plan is to host one each and every Thursday.

Rules:
-Open to all players. Ask any Feathers Will Fly member for an invite.
-Free For All play, 4 players in a lobby per round
-Players ranked 1 and 2 in each game advance to next round
-Single elimination
-Roll call to be taken via group chat prior to bracket generation. Once the bracket is generated there will be no additions or edits. There will likely be a time cutoff for this after game 1 has played out.
-Players who lost are entitled to watch through the eyes of players who beat them via steam streaming. While an advancing duck may have a preference to have the other advancing duck stream, ultimately winners are responsible for inviting both losers to watch. Consider this non-negotiable.
-Only vanilla maps. No mods.

Details I have sorted:
-Tied ducks will play a tiebreaker round while winning and losing ducks go AFK
-3 ducks may unanimously vote to disqualify a player due to inappropriate hats, behavior, or poor sportsmanship. This combination is known as sporting the Steve. A league manager will make a DQ call after hearing from all players.

Details I have not yet sorted or am looking for your input:
-How to seed the starting bracket
-How to determine bye rounds
-How to facilitate matchmaking (edit - group chat may work well here.)
-Other rules needed, if any. I am trying to keep rule count down to a minimum to promote the spirit of the best FFA games.
