It's completely free to play and I'm revamping the entire guild system, adding achievements, and housing system along with other houses will change as well. I see a bunch of people (everyone) looking for keys, but I'm fairly certain the Dota2 Test is just that... a test instance of the game that allows for MacOSX and Linux users to try it out. I don't think the servers are linked in any way.
