In the past 24 hours, a lot has happened.
It's nothing I'm going to get into publicly but due to this life stuff it'll be a while before I can make good on the plans from the last announcement.
They are still on the way it will just take longer than I had planned.
The winter theme will be applied, but that's all I can do for now.
Please have patience while I sort things out.

Distant Spring has come to about 4 months of age now.
In that time we've amassed a solid 30 members in a semi-active population!
While a solid majority of them prefer to lurk, it's still a sizable population.
To celebrate the success of the spring, I'm making this post to talk about the present and future of the server.

Vanity name colors added!

For a long while, name colors were exclusive to spring spirits and a few other specials roles, such as the arcade stampers.
In favor of more personalization for each individual member, I've added in vanity name colors.
These roles have no powers above the average user, the same as the LFG game roles.
Five colors have been added for now, and more will likely come in time.
You can check the list of colors and how to get them on the welcome board.

Movie nights are to return soon.

In favor of trying to gain a bit more attention for movie nights, the system is going to be reworked a bit.
There will now be suggestions taken for what to watch, to make sure it's something at least one person will want to see.
Then a poll will be hosted to see which movie suggested will be played.
Movie night frequency is still being considered, it may be the standard week or slowed down to be every two weeks.

Winter theme coming soon.

Like with the autumn theme "Wistful Wild" there will be a winter theme coming the first day of winter in CST.
The only things that will change are the name of the server and the icon.
Pardon any disorientation this causes.

The last big plan to announce has been muttered a few times privately, but I plan to properly unveil it:

Distant Station 13!

Due to a fair influx of SS13 players to the server and more interested in trying the game.
I'll be putting up a small scale private station soon!
The code base is undecided, and any level of custom content is too.
If you're interested in helping me set it up test it you can either DM me on Discord or add me on Steam.

I'd like to thank everyone who has been involved and active in the server for helping it become a friendly place to come to post whatever in.
I hope in the future more members will become comfortable enough to post more frequently.
