Still remember the server, been waiting for the devs to add walking on ships or NPC Companions. Might get on when I get back from Kuwait in May. The internet at Camp Buehring is trash.

None the less, small announcement:

Transcendence is still around and now on the Empyrion workshop as a single/multiplayer scenario. Server is still online as well, "Transcendence 2" hosted in Michigan on physical hardware.

If you remember Destiny server, you'll still see things in Transcendence from that era. Somehow after all these years there tends to be a bit of a following that keeps this alive.

Another Interesting Fact of the Day:

In Alpha 4, Destiny (yr 2016) functioned with 40 players flawlessly on:

When the new patch comes down Alpha 6 I will be getting a server. Am currently running a server off from a personal PC. I would invite you all. But my net SUCKS. If you you still want to try it. Get info from me.

Do not give up any hope. I am looking into hosting a server. I will know more within the next week when it will be online.

I am going to see if I can get back into my old habit and host a server. Will let you all know in a day or so. Hopefully I can work something out.

So far there's no progress. I haven't found a solution that is not out of budget. DeChamp might be foreshadowing the last option and the hardest option. It would take someone that not only has the knowledge of editing the yaml and mechanics, but also the processing power it takes to run Destiny. A normal desktop computer is not enough to run Destiny. Relocating the server locally is one of my options and sinply paying for the ISP there. Once again I have not made a final decision.

Can somone else run the server?

Any chance it might get fixed for the 6.0.x official relase? Can we help in any way?

Sad news. I hope you're able to find a solution.

I regret to inform the community that I've been unable to get the server online due to the Local ISP's firewall. I am exploring options at this moment but so far the outlook is not good.

The test server is still on its way. "Dayton Ohio" last time I tracked it. I'll be trying to figuring out something for everyone to get a preview of 6.0 tonight.

Tim, get some rest. I'm certain we will all survive an extra 12 hours or so. Moving is enough headache, and I'm sure youve got more important things to worry about/take care of.

Server has survived the 800 mile trip. Destiny is now located in the midwest which will good news for ping-wise for most players currently on the server. I plan on having the network setup tonight and the server online by tomorrow morning or sooner.

Confirmed CV vs CV battle to happen on April 8th...more details will be on the LCD screens on the VIP space stations (selene) in Serenity Orbit.

Server will be going offline very soon for the final move. We should be back up and running permanently by Friday. Test server will be going up next week as well to start tweaking the sector and planets for Alpha 6 expiramental. The project will start out by tweaking enviromental values that are currently not functional. I'll be posting the status of the server and test server upon arrival to the servers new home.

Minor inconvenience compared to moving in the snow lol.

I was hoping to do so tonight but most likely not. Snowstorm Stella hasn't helped with the moving process. My car is still very stuck in the parking lot. I'm getting by without the server and Empyrion by watching Star Trek Voyager season 1 for the 4th time.

Any word on if the server will be up tonight?

@Dragon of the West - We are 24/7 Open To All! I suggest reading all the pinned discussion threads. Lots of good stuff in there. Keep in mind when you choose a starter planet you can always switch to another with CB:Restart - The starter planets wipe on Monday Evenings 9pm EST (2100 server time). I recommend an Akua or Omicron start so you can swiftly build a simple CV and join the community on Serinity. I'm not wiping starter orbits till next Monday so you can always pack up and head into orbit in an SV if you need more time in the starter zone.

We are planning on using our own built CVs. I posted some rules I came up with on an LCD screen at the VIP space station in Serenity orbit. By server event I just meant make it an announced event but if you want to sweeten the deal with some incentives or something thats cool. Neither faction has done a player CV vs CV battle before so not sure what to expect.

Little announcement: I just added a super AI CV to the content. It has a 3% chance to spawn. It's not the prettiest thing, but it will be the Servers "boss" ship. If you see it, I don't recommend attacking it alone. It has the chance to spawn in any orbit.

Kodorion that's a great idea and then we don't have to worry about waiting for myself or an admin. At the moment the PVP zones are getting utilized for the Lost Ship Event. If anyone still wants to do a staged event I'll be available this weekend.

Like the idea of staged cv-sv fight, would not to like the vessels sponsored by the server, evryone uses their own, but to compete i would propose every player to put in 2-3 autominers and 1 stack of 999 ores of something. Winner takes all- all destroyed vessels for parts, all autominers+ something from server?

This sounds cool! We haven't done a CV PVP event. As you all know I'll tie a PVE twist in this as well. I just need to know a time frame so I can be on as well and make an announcement/add to the server spam. I'm down with anything after 1700 server time (5pm EST)... keep in mind I work at 6am on weekdays.
