Well crap, I just read on your forums that tents are one of the main things you guys WANT. Which I suppose I should have expected, since y'all obviously need the storage yourselves... /sigh

I need tents. I am DESPERATE for tents. Even just one tent! I know the market is still very much in flux, but could any of you at least give me a vague idea of what sort of items would be accepted in trade for tents? And do you have any tents for sale in the first place?

Myself and my two buddies are legit survivors whom prefer to secretly observe and avoid other players rather than risk facing them, much less being forced to shoot them... so we don't exactly farm airfields for high-end military equipment. So do y'all think medical supplies are acceptable in trade for tents? THAT I can do, and I can bring as many as I can carry, sans the room I'll need for food/water supplies for the trek to Devil's Castle.

Both. We run semi-regular weekend trading meets, where people are free to come and go with no prior organization, as well as providing protection services and coordination for trades at other places and times (for example, guarding vehicle trades on different servers).

So, yes. There's a weekly "flee market" style trade as well as organization for meetups.

It's a combination. Best way to get business done is to make an agreement prior, but people will barter on the fly depending on who's there with what gear. It's very hit or miss that way, though, there aren't dozens of traders at camp at one time.

Is there a set up sorta like a flee market? or is it a meet up kinda deal?

@=USE A= -- There are no set rates so much as it is a bartering process. In Day Z, the value of any particular item is relative to how much you need it.

Lol, I was just in elektro, got in a hatchet fight with another player. Killed him, but he broke my bones and got me down to 400 blood. So I crawled all the way to the hospital, fixed my bones, went to the supermarket, munched on some beans until I got to 3000 blood, killed ANOTHER survivor that tried to hatchet me, and made it out alive. I love this game.

Found an off-road pickup truck.. trying to repair.. will update. On same server too :D

So Ben and I were sent out as Gatherers to find a vehicle.. originally a boat. Then I was told to find a car. Two hours later...

I found a car and repaired most of it (red car of sort). Then I found Ben again after he broke his leg and he repaired the engine, picked up Max, Car crashed, broke my own leg. Max Died... then hours and hours later, much turmoil, and 2 blown tires.. Ben's leg healed by friends of his, lost all my gear due to stairs bug, ran back, repaired the two tires with Ben (and friends) and Juiceboxes help, we hid the car.. I found a Bicycle too which im using. This was like 8-10 hours of effort to fix and hide this car. After everyone disconnected I found a few more supplies and stashed it in the car, lots of gas for it.

Hope this car was worth the effort lol

Everything needs to be seperate. Raiders aren't traders and traders aren't raiders. The raiders get paid for their goods, and should get free food as well + plus access to group vehicles.

Just joined, big fan of this idea and I wouldn't mind helping out where I can. I'm pretty new to the game but I learn quickly

i suspect one of the first things we'll establish in the ts meeting is where people can possibly begin dropping off stuff. again i know figuring out a location is going to be tricky.. and who will know about it, etc.. but i don't see anything tangible getting started until this is worked out. maybe trying to designate a few trusted people to gather supplies.. and have others (not-trusted) link up with them to get the stuff to us? just a thought

Hey just joined, vigilant survivor and love the idea. Is there some sort of communal pool for fortification items, i.e. if I find sandbags, tanktraps, razorwire can I donate them to this great cause.

@swish007: Thats where the old trading post was going to be, its a real nice setup, it's just that its more exposed to bandits and server hoppers. I'd like to make that kind of fortification eventually though, wherever we decide to go.

i found a tank trap the other day but i must have been out of sync because it disappeared after i logged :/ seems like a bunch of those might be helpful.. they work well with sandbags and barbed wire around the military hospital post near balota. in fact we could potentially make a fortification exactly like that one with enough stuff.

I recommened reading my post on start-up. without a server 100% chosen for the trading post I don't think searching for a helo/boat would be smart. IMO we need a for sure 100% server to be comitted to.

Anybody want to go helo/boat hunting on one of the servers listed?

Well, Seeing that the world of gaming has the flaws of time zones, we need to figure out what time would fit everyone's schedule...

if we do set a time for a ts meeting if someone could post it here that would be great.. i find this easier than hunting through the thread on the dayzmod forum

yup a meet and greet needs to happen on TS, game meetings should wait

The best thing to do is find out what times people play, or try to schedule an event meet-and-greet. People should get associated in game at some point or at least try to. I play a lot and think Chicago 10 is perfect.
