Daktek hasn't been updated in years, the download link is at the bottom of the description as the "DakTek Workshop Page" since the mod moved to being on teh steam workshop, download there.

try increasing the crouch height, usually they slide if the leg constraints are too tight to allow how far it is trying to crouch.

Speed is based off engine and gyro size vs the weight of the mech, using a smaller engine or smaller gyro will slow you down and so will increasing the weight of the mech.

I run two servers with it and know of a few others that have it. The ports changed from 27015 to 27016 and 27017 depending on if you want to join the build or combat server. I'll update the page description.

There is no heli control chip, the VTOL engine acts as a control chip and engine in one.
