Just joined, what is everyone's opinions on the Unity version? yay nor nay?

I'm glad to see a daggerfall group :D

Well no good reason to even post this, but i just noticed all the errors in the reply i left lol.

1: If you want Daggerfall, get it hear http://wiwiki.wiwiland.net/index.php?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN it works cirectly with modern day PC's and fixes alot of bugs, and adds some new stuff if you select some of the options, make sure when you install it you do not install it in program files because the game will then keep crashing after or skiping tutorial, unless you run as an administrator, but its better to install it in a other location

2: The game for me works on Windows 10, and used it both on a potato laptop and my gaming desktop, runs fine on both

3: for using a controller, i have no idea, tried using my Logitech Gamepad once, did not try, i perfer Mouse and keyboard anyway, hope this helped, this really is a amazing game

Now if i could get the DaggerfallSetUp Version to work with steam and have the overlay that would be great :P

also can I use an up to date controller with this game (I saw on a video on youtube there is a "joystick" tab in the menu but the person doing the video didn't open the tab

also does it work on windows 10 with top end NVidia card (gtx 980m) and directx12 because I have had some compatibility issues with other older games like Final Fantasy XI

Hey guys I started with morrowind and thought it was excellent. I have played a fair bit of oblivion but thought it wasn't as good as morrowind. As for skyrim I played like 30 minutes and was like..."yeah this is even worse than oblivion" so basically I'm thinking of getting daggerfall and just need some opinions. Is it more like morrowind for example? What does it have that may be alien to me etc. Are there good mods (not ones like god mode and max gil which are just pathetic imo).

The best way to experience Daggerfall is to completely remap the controls. Make it WASD based, with mouselook.

Daggerfall is one of my favorite games of all time! If anyone wants to download the best version of this game (free and also legal), just google: Ancestral Ghost Daggerfall Setup (same for Arena for the CD version which has voices integrated). I always love having conversations about The Elder Scrolls, especially Daggerfall, as it still remains my favorite along-side Morrowind!

I heard that soon a The Elder Scrolls games package on the market comes with a CD to every part of the series. Can it be that maybe than Daggerfall will be available on Steam?

Hmm I should actually mention that there are auto installers for Arena and Daggerfall, I can give them to you guys if you want them. They automatically set up for DOSBox and you can start the game from your desktop without all the hastle of the DOSBox commands.

Hello all, I'm new to the group and just got Daggerfall running on Dosbox. Any tips for starting? I always played a thief in Morrowind and the following games, and am hoping to go with the stealth sort of playstyle.
